Returned yesterday from a week at this 4 star wonderful hotel. This cliff top hotel is situated about a 20/25 minute walk from Piazza Tasso. Our room was exceptionally clean, with fresh decor, and towels replaced daily if required. The buffet breakfast was hot or cold buffet with a great selection of breads and pastries, and an amazing view of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius every morning. The pool area was clean and tidy and beds were always available. There is a beach club decked area at sea level accessed via a lift, exceptionally clean and great service at the beach bar for snacks and drinks, sun beds were always available. The service from all of the staff at this hotel was exceptional, could not fault them. We would love to return.

We had a great stay in this amazing hotel - very clean and comfortable room with everything we needed. All the staff were friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond on my daughter's birthday by leaving a birthday cake for her in our room - a lovely touch. We ate in their Seaview Terrace restaurant for dinner - the food was delicious and the view was gorgeous. The buffet breakfast had a good selection of tasty food. The private beach club was beautiful and our favourite feature of the hotel. The whole atmosphere in the hotel was warm, welcoming and relaxing. Thank you Grand Hotel Riviera

A beautiful hotel in a beautiful location! The beach access was convenient and protected by a breakwater. We had an issue with our room that couldn’t be addressed and they accommodated us by moving us to an ocean view suite.

I really wanted to love this place, but the experience fell short. Service seemed inconsistent and dependent on who you interacted with. At checkout, the staff member was quite unwelcoming — no thank you, no “how was your stay,” not even an offer to help with a cab. Just a flat “did you take anything from the minibar last night?” There were also several issues with the room: cigarette butts from the balcony above landed on our clothes left to dry, and the air-conditioning vents had visible mold. On the positive side, the beach club and views were lovely, and breakfast was good. However, even there, service felt inconsistent. Coffee always took noticeably longer for us than for others- a trend we saw often. Overall, the setting has potential, but the lack of hospitality and upkeep of our room made our stay disappointing. I can see how some may view it as a 4-star hotel/luxury, but our experience and the service we received was far from that.

Inoubliable séjour Nous avons séjourner dans cette hôtel, tout est absolument parfait, nourriture authentique, beaucoup de choix menu différents tout les ( midi et soir) J'aimerais remercier tout particulièrement le personnel du hôtel, ils sont tous simplement incomparables ! I did hours upon hours of research on hotels in Sorrento and decided on the Riviera. The hotel is immaculate, the pool clean and the beach club area clean. Swimming in the sea is a must! The breakfast is amazing and the views........ The only cons I have about this hotel is the location. Yes, we wanted to be away from the main part of town but when we wanted to go into town or to the ferry or lower town area, you have to taxi. The taxi's are expensive and we found that the rates fluctuate by driver. A 5 minute taxi to town will cost you minimum $20 euro and most drivers won't use the meter. The cost to the ferry is minimum $30 euro. We walked into town (15 minutes) and to the ferry once (25 minutes). Had we known the taxi's were going to be so expensive for a 1km ride then we would've stayed closer to town. The property is beautiful, the staff amazing and the food excellent.

We've just returned from a week's stay at the Grand Hotel Riviera which we all thoroughly enjoyed! What stood out for us was the friendliness of all the staff from the General Manager who was often around the hotel, to the conceirge especially Francesco and Gianni who helped us book taxi's, restaurants and trips during our stay - all of which worked well. We always received pleasant and efficient service at the bar and in the restaurant. Our room was very spacious and clean with a spectacular view of the Bay of Naples.
