Piazza Tasso B&B Relais

There are simply not enough superlatives to describe our stay at Piazza Tasso Relais B & B. Cleanliness, comfort & location were all 10 out of 10, but there was an additional quality which was outstanding. When my 79 year old husband fell in the street resulting in 2 hospital stays ,Jury & Silvana gave us total support. They were there to phone an ambulance in the middle of the night on 2 occasions ,to arrange a private ambulance to take us for X-rays, to call a private doctor to visit, to arrange for Guardia Medica to visit . The ladies who cleaned our room daily & brought our breakfast were also both very solicitous.Jury had all the necessary contacts to arrange what was required. They were tireless in the support of my husband & me for the 16 days we were there. Not once were we made to feel a burden. The fact that they spoke perfect English was invaluable. Words are simply not enough to express our gratitude for their magnificent support. It was with a sense of great relief when we left for the airport to fly home on the flight provided by our insurance company, but I felt a deep sadness as I hugged Silvana goodbye. She had been my rock during a very challenging time . They will both hold a very special place in my heart.

I researched my Sorrento stay and looked at several places that would suit our needs as I was traveling with a friend and we required more space than a standard European hotel would offer. I originally booked with Piazza Tasso B&B Relais but learned of another property owned and managed by the same people. The B&B would have suited us as it is a true B&B with a balcony and it was lovely, however having the extra space really made a difference for us as we were in town for a full week. We chose Piazza Tasso Max 1 which was perfect! It is a full apartment located in the heart of Piazza Tasso with a courtyard balcony, Kitchen, Refrigerator, 2 televisions, 2 Air Conditioning units, huge bathroom with shower, a washing machine and space galore. Both locations are incredible as you are steps from the Piazza so you can't go wrong with either. Silvana and Jury were just wonderful hosts. I won't sugar coat this, where we stayed is truly an apartment. Unlike the B&B they own there was no food served, no bed or turn down service and we had to fend for ourselves for everything. We made the beds and we kept the space clean, but having the washing machine was huge because we were traveling for weeks and we were able to do our laundry and travel with less. In the morning (if we wanted breakfast) we would have to get food ourselves. With 2 markets just a short walk away, that didn't bother us and we were able to bring in what we wanted for the week The deal for us was extra space and Piazza Tasso Max 1 had it. If you have kids or you are traveling with a friend then this property is the place for you and your budget.

We stayed for 3 days. We found it very clean. Close to a lot amenities. We took a small ferry over to Capri for the day. We did a Bus/Cable Car tour. We travelled up to the top as far as we could go then got on a Cable Car which took us 582 ft up to the top of Capri. Very safe and very beautiful Once at the top the view was amazing. There is a restaurant and a mini bar with cute patio. We meet a nice couple and sat and chat about the scenery and how is was breathtaking.

What a fabulous find, right in the centre of Sorrento. The owners Silvana and Juri are fantastic hosts, very warm and welcoming and extremely helpful, offering lots of tips and suggestions for things to see and do to make our stay extra special. On arrival, Silvana had very kindly upgraded us to a beautiful spacious executive room with balcony because they had availability, a lovely unexpected treat. They even arranged a fantastic day out for us on the Amalfi coast in a minivan, with boat trip, where we were collected from our accommodation. Everything at B&B Relais was spotlessly clean, very stylish and full of authentic Italian charm. We would highly recommend staying here and very much hope to return ourselves before too long.

We stayed at the Piazza Tasso B&B for five nights as our "launch point" for Sorrento, Naples, and the Amalfi Coast. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a nice, small balcony overlooking the Piazza Tasso. The location could not be better, with restaurants, shops, and a grocery store all just steps away. Even though it was "off season" our gracious host Silvana was able to arrange a car tour for us and another couple to Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. Daily breakfast arrived promptly so we could be on our way. Due to stairs this may not be a perfect spot for older folks or those with mobility issues, but for anyone else looking for an ideal place to stay in Sorrento, Piazza Tasso B&B comes highly recommended.
