Absolutely disgusting customer service! Booked for a birthday, the restaurant couldn’t accommodate for my family of 15. “Big group, will cause too much stress on the kitchen” The lady with blonde hair who was directing us, had absolutely terrible customer service, kept rolling her eyes and greasing me and my family off. Prior to booking, I called up and the lady on the other end said 5-5:30 is a great time to come in and we will get seated seated straight away little did we know we got told by the lady that we should of lied saying we weren’t a big group and that we should have all come separately. Disgusting!! Never again.

Service and facility was excellent. From the time of making the booking, by phone, to leaving at the end of our stay, the staff couldn’t have been more courteous, considerate or helpful. It was a reunion of three friends…two from interstate and visiting Sorrento for the first time. All of us rated the experience very highly, with each meal throughly enjoyable. We stayed in three of the classic rooms and they were spacious, soundproof, comfortable and with delightful views. Very conveniently located for enjoying the area. Couldn’t praise the encounters with each staff member more highly.

We had Chicken Parmigiana & Fish & Chips. Chicken was overcooked and dry and there was an excessive amount of batter on the fish.The slaw was very nice and the amount of chips was more than generous. Price point on the high side for average Pub Meals. Service was a little chaotic as we had three different servers. Nice view if you near a window.

Disappointing dining experience. Limited menu range. Mostly pleasant staff but slow service. Had to chase up main meals. Expensive, mediocre meal, prepared with no passion. Battered fish was tough to cut, chips OK, insipid coleslaw salad, the lemon wedge was faultless. Expected better.

We reserved the bayview room for $450. On check in desk clerk said there might a little noise from the restaurant which makes sense as there’s a little balcony outside the restaurant. However, the room is directly over the live band and there is a dj playing on the other side of the room at the same time. The entire room is shaking. The worst crimes included a medley of the killers and john cougar mellencamp. This room should obviously not be sold on nights with live music. I can’t imagine that any of the rooms are usable on Saturdays given that the noise is coming from both sides of the hotel. Do not recommend this hotel. Would not come back.

Excellent dinner with 2 young children. Low Gluten chicken steak was delicious and a generous serve. Fillet steak was cooked to perfection. Wait staff were very attentive and provided colouring in. Children's meal was enough for 2x children under 4 years.

Stayed a couple of nights in this beautifully renovated hotel, We were in room 8, which came with an awesome balcony with really nice ocean views. Bed and pillows were super comfy, and everything in the room worked and was well presented. Bathroom well appointed, and the showerhead was awesome. Our only negative would be that the bathroom is quite small. No other issues at all! Yummy breakfast and coffee. Pool area looked fantastic (but we did not use).

Loved our 2 night stay. We stayed just before the holiday crowds descended. Stayed at the poolside room. Complimentary brekky was delicious - and waited by the loveliest staff. Room was clean and new. Wifi was a bit slow but not a deal breaker. Location was perfect as you can walk to the beach and the shops. We are already planning for our next trip back.

The service at Hotel Sorrento for a dining experience was the best on the Peninsula. We ate all over, Portsea, the Conti etc and this by far exceeded the other 'pub' experiences in terms of service. Third time we've been and exceeded expectations every time.
