The room is modernly decorated, clean, simple and comfortable, with a soft mattress and a mysterious feel all around.
The thousand-year-old castle has a rich history and attracts elegant customers, which is a rare experience.
The ancient town is quiet, without the noise of tourists. It is surrounded by dark green mountains, with a rushing stream under your feet. Immersed in the medieval buildings, you can travel through time and space.

Abbiamo trascorso alla fortezza la luna di miele. È stata una vacanza da sogno. Colazioni squisite. Cena all'ora del tramonto con una luce quasi aliena. Il cielo così terso non mente. È vero che si tratta di un luogo senza fonti inquinanti. Prodotti genuini. Cucina eccellente. Sorprendente il vino rosé. Meravigliosa la strada scavata nel tufo che porta nella meravigliosa Sovana, dove fra le rovine etrusche c'è anche un sentiero scavato nel tufo. "Tufo e tartufo" il leitmotiv di una vacanza senza tempo, a due passi dal borgo di Putignano. La fortezza ha tanti scalini e per questo è ancora più intrigante. Grazie 💕

Ho soggiornato per una notte in questa struttura consigliata da un'amica.L 'albergo è all interno della Fortezza che domina il borgo di Sorano.Atmosfera rilassante e magica. Camera con tutto il necessario e vista mozzafiato sul borgo.Ottima colazione;purtroppo non abbiamo potuto cenare in struttura x giorno di chiusura. Personale accogliente e premuroso.Ottimo il suggerimento per la visita sotterranea del castello con guida cordiale e preparata. Consigliato.

Siamo stati una settimana in questo splendido hotel con il nostro cagnolino, i gestori Silvia e Cristiano estremamente cordiali e attenti alle esigenze dei loro ospiti, tutte le persone dello staff molto professionali. Letti comodissimi, stanze pulitissime e anche Birillo ha trovato un comodo cuscino in camera. La fortezza è dotata di un ristorante dove fare splendidi aperitivi (suggerisco di provare gli ottimi vini di Cristiano) o un'ottima cena con prodotti che valorizzano il territorio. Immersi in una piazzetta che vi porta indietro nel tempo godrete dell'assistenza di Giovanni che è un connubio di professionalità e attenzione, una persona delicata. Abbiamo fatto la visita guidata in notturna alle vie cave proposta dall'hotel che suggerisco di fare così come suggerisco di andare alla scoperta del territorio che circonda Sorano. Speriamo di potere tornare!

I had visited this place 14 years ago and was fascinated then. Now clearly a level up. Where can you stay in an old fortress like this overlooking the old “Borgo” of Sorano? The shell of the medieval times, but the amenities of the 21st century. The place has kept its old charm and looking out of the window of your room is an extraordinary experience. The Suite 15 I stayed in was well equipped with all you need with the bed one level up (with ventilators instead of air conditioning). Great experience- 5 points. Attached to the hotel there is an excellent, higher level restaurant which offers aperitivi and dinner (also in the courtyard of the castle).
