This is my favorite hotel during the 12-day Sri Lanka trip. I was very lucky to choose this place. Although the road to the hotel is a bit rugged, it may be this ruggedness that makes it so quiet and primitive. The hotel is an old colonial villa, but it is very well maintained and the staff are very nice. I really want to stay a few more days.

The room is very warm and cozy, relaxing environment, good service. It was very comfortable to walk in the tea garden and there was a cute dog walking with us. We will come back again.

We had a great 3 days at the Glendevon bunglow… very relaxing .. practically no noise, no disturbance … all flowers and rolling greens around us … the hills around us wrapped in mist Made thoroughly enjoyable by care and hospitality from the manager Manu Bidula and Chef Duminder , Who turned up gourmet meals every evening and lip smacking local curries every afternoon 👌

This is a beautiful heritage listed house with four guest rooms. It is like stepping back in time to colonial Sri Lanka. The premises are beautiful and the surrounding village, gardens and mountains picturesque. The staff are quietly helpful in so many ways. They took the utmost care to look after us. The food was simply amazing- the chef was so accommodating and professional. It is a little way away from Nuwara Eliya center and the road was a bit rough, but it is being paved in March 2025, so should be easier. You won’t find any tour busses up here. An absolutely peaceful retreat- a real gem.

We stayed here 2 nights and was a wonderful experience to live in a bungalow. It rained a bit making whole environment cool and very beautiful. The property is good as is different experience than living in hotels. Internet is only in limited area giving time to family to interact. The best part of property is the employees right from manager to chef and everyone. With very limited staff they maintain property well and make the guest very comfortable. Very friendly, always willing to help for anything needed. When we come back to sri lanka we would certainly like to stay here again. Is bit far from nuara eliya and difficult to find but is nice place for nature and peace lovers.

The hotel was so peaceful and quiet, the hotel was built in the middle of mountains, so it had a wonderful view. The staff was super friendly and helpful The food tasted extremely well. It is not crowded so we spent our vacation in peace. One thing is that there is no TV. But the View totally made up for it.

Charming historical house with exceptional staff and haute cuisine meals. We just had one night here but we really enjoyed our stay. The manor only has 4 rooms, ours was huge. The house is 125 years old and drafty. We wore our sweatshirts and the staff had fires in the dining hall and sitting room to keep things cozy. Wifi is only available in that one room and it is spotty. There is no television. When the staff is cooking, the power frequently goes out and it is totally dark in the rooms at that point. But they quickly reset the breakers. We considered the quirks part of the charm. Our dinner and breakfast were the best meals we had in Sri Lanka. The only negative for us was the location. It was an hour drive from Nurwala eliya and after a very long day we didn't want an additional hour drive time. Once we saw the place, we were glad that we had chosen this B&B. The staff was incredibly attentive and clearly took pride in the manor and in providing the best guest experience.
