It was a nice unique hotel. The building history is really cool and the rooms represented that. Was pretty clean but rooms are generally smaller the regular hotels but the bathroom was really big and impressive. The pool was great. The breakfast was actually pretty decent the offerings changed a bit in our 2 day stay which gave it variety. The waffle maker is great. I would definitely stay again. Just fyi there are no cards to access the room they are actually keys and the doors self lock.

don't stay there its horible , room and airco verry dirty, room was smelling bad , laundery had brown spots, Tv not working no battery in remote coaxial cable broken . swimming pool was green . service was verry poor . booked for 2 nights did leave after one night , still waiting for my money. even for free would not sleep there anymore. ongelooefelijk slecht zelf spuitbus gaan halen om kamer beetje fris te laten ruiken . service ver te zoeken nog nooit zoiet smerigs mee gemaakt

I knew going there that this was an old place, but the pictures and reviews did not represent our stay. Stains on the sheets and blankets, a bathroom door that would barely close, and NO DEADBOLT on the door to our room. I was looking forward to using the pool but it was a thick layer of bugs over the top as well as bugs at the bottom of the pool so who knows when it was cleaned last. I kept seeing great reviews about the breakfast, but we got there at 9 (front desk said it runs from 8-10) and what was there was cold egg casserole, some toast to put in a barely working toaster, some waffles (which were decent), and an empty water pitcher that was never refilled. Overall we were pretty unsatisfied with our stay.

Fantastic service. Fantastic rooms. The manager was very accommodating. Pool was great. I will come back again. I'm a man of few words so I'll just say random stuff now. But I would Def come back here. Good good good good good good good good good.

Outstanding greeting on check-in. Excellent room that was large, very clean and comfortable. The king size bed was a pleasant surprise. The overall service was exceptional. Great breakfast with great service there as well. Staying here is the best value I can find in Sonora and I strongly recommend it

The hotel is clean but in desperate need of renovation and sound proofing. The rooms are small but practical and sleep was fine. There is some road noise as the doors do not seal and there are gaps. Breakfast was very basic. Lots of carbs with some fruit It was fine for the price The only real issue was WiFi being very poor

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights this past week. The people who run this place were all very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, the bed was just right for a great night sleep. The shower was nice and hot, & they had turned on the air conditioner to make sure our room was cool (100 degree weather) when we arrived. The breakfast was tasty and filling. What a great deal to be able to stay in an historic building (1850) full of charm~!!! We will definitely be staying here again. Lots of charm & character for a great price~! Next time I will take a dip in the nice pool they have. If you like staying in places with lots of unique character you can't beat the price and quality you will find here~!! One of my new favorite places in Sonora. Thanks Gunn house for making our stay with you outstanding~!!

My wife and I stayed in room #2 on 7/6/24 and checked out the following morning. - Feces on the side of the toilet (discovered before checking out) - Stains on the bed sheet - Stains and tears on the decorative pillow covers - Stains on the front door curtains - Dirty surfaces on the bed tables - Dirty and dusty remote control - Rust-colored stains on the bathtub - Old, musty odor throughout the room The lobby was closed when we realized the conditions, but we tolerated it. They fail to thoroughly sanitize their rooms, a gross oversight of people's health. Also, several perishable foods were in the breakfast room, sitting in 90-degree weather (no ice, no refrigeration). They don't seem to reinvest in their property. I mentioned these problems to the assistant manager upon checking out. He was argumentative and defensive. His only excuse for the unsanitary conditions in room #2 was that Gunn House employees were too busy. I emailed the general manager the following day, describing the issue and attached photos. No response.

The door lock on room number five was broken, Only one lightbulb in the ceiling fan, which did not work, blood stains on the hand towels in the bathroom. Need I go on? I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. However, the manager that checked us in was very polite
