The care Rhonda and her husband put into this property is evident — the attention to detail was top notch and the food was spectacular. I was dazzled by Rhonda before she even told us the story of the inn, the furnishings and how much sweat equity went into making it so lovely. This historic home is absolutely lovely. It’s a must see. The owners Rhonda And Fred are just delightful full of wonderful stories to make the experience all the more worthwhile. The rooms are beautiful. The breakfast is outstanding.

A room was beautifully decorated. Gorgeous view. Location is up on a hill overlooking Sonora. Such an elegant breakfast setting and outstanding breakfast food. Will choose this place again when we come to Sonora.

My husband and I spent three glorious nights at the beautifully preserved Inn on Knowles Hill B&B. We stayed in the Segerstrom room with large corner windows and a spacious balcony. The property is home to friendly cats, dogs, birds, and a duck. The history of the home and how owners Fred and Rhonda acquired the furnishings is fascinating. Fred and Rhonda are an amazing couple. The adjective is overused but fitting for these gracious and remarkable hosts. We enjoyed our conversations and sumptuous breakfasts with Rhonda and guests. Rhonda also prepares dinners for guests on special occasions. The 5-star reviews say it all. The Inn at Knowles Hill was among the top B&Bs we have stayed at on four continents. Thank you Fred and Rhonda. We will be back and recommend your inn to friends.

Perfect getaway weekend location
We stayed at the Inn on Knowles Hill for one night, it was a perfect weekend getaway location. It’s a beautiful historic place in the center of Sonora. Both inside and outside the entire experience gave us flashbacks to another age. The house is in an amazing spot, located atop of a hill, but still in a walking distance to the downtown. Rhonda is an amazing host, we felt very welcomed and had a delicious breakfast. This was the best B&B experience we’ve had so far, highly recommended!

We had a marvelous third stay at your excellent Inn. The room is very beautiful and comfortable and the whole Inn and grounds are spectacular. Our days started on a high note with the sumptuous and delicious breakfasts.

amazing, wonderful inn keepers, warm, welcoming...WOW...glorious day...fun area to explore lots of gold rush history...lovely countryside...cute shops...a slice of the way life used to be and how back to simple things should be a thing...taking time to smell the roses, as there are many and pet a kitty or two and breathe in the fresh air...max =]

A beautifully restored house with a rich history. The owner’s attention to details is what sets this destination apart from any other option available. This was by far the highlight of our trip! Everything is a feast for the eyes. Do not miss the outstanding breakfast which includes delights from around the globe. The Earl Warren room is fantastic. The only drawback is having to return to your own home and realize you have a lot of decorating to catch up on. We can’t wait to return to Knowles Hill! Thank you Rhonda and Fred! (Owners)
