2 minutes ago 0 Stars - Maybe as Last Resort if your in Sonora, CA if you had a choice of sleeping your car. The Goods: My room looked clean. The TV is decent size. It is a historic place for Hollywood elites back in the day. I can take a squat and lean over to brush my teeth at the same time in the bathroom. The Bads: There was no place to set my luggage in the room. No hotel store to buy water if you checked in late at night, so it's faucet water for you. There is a vending machine outside, but they are a cashless hotel that can't give you change for the machine. The pillows need replacing. There is no microwave. Be sure to bring your own soap and shampoo, because you get a tiny wafer bar of soap and a tiny bottle of shampoo. The shower water pressure was worse than a 3rd world country hotel I have been to. They are not business friendly, because if you finish your job and don't give them a 24 hour notice, they will price gouge you an additional day and label it as early check out. They cut to many corners to remain in business out of your own expense.

This review in no terms reflects on the great employess, they are fantastic. The suite (214) we had was spacious and has a cute tiny balcony But the bathroom is hideous. No way to regulate the hot water in.the sink and I do believe that is required , floor slopes is not level and absolutely no counter space. We used the ironing board to put our stuff on. We were disappointed, this our 3rd visit and it is obvious only the bare minimum maintenance is done. The ice machine was broken in 2024 and it is still broken. There are no door hangers to indicate if you want maid service or not to be disturbed. We are sad that the owners take no pride or are interested in updating this property, it has.enormous potential.

A death in the family was responsible for my cancelling and later reserving a room. Christina was very helpful and supportive about my situation. On my second booking she found a quiet room for me with a king bed. It was quiet, clean and comfortable, with a small bathroom. My friends, a married couple, had a larger room and bathroom well suited for two people. It's located on the main street in downtown Sonora which is filled with shops and restaurant. Unlike some historic accommodation's the Sonora Inn did not have any musty or old age odors. Myself and my friends would stay again.

Sonora Inn is in the perfect spot and close to so many good restaurants and cute little shops! The good: - perfect location and close to everything so you don’t have to drive everywhere! -the bed was super comfy -the room was big and spacious with lots of natural light coming in -a lot of storage + a full length mirror - you get discount cards for places around the hotel when you check in The not so great: - the shower had some stains on the tub and it wasn’t super clean, there was hair in the floor and Bobby pins left in the bathroom seems like they skipped cleaning that area - it is very loud! We had a room that faced the main street and could hear traffic and cars non stop in the early in the morning which made sleeping in a little later (like 7/8am) nearly impossible -the door to the room doesn’t automatically close behind you so you will need to make sure you pull it shut on the way out or when you walk in -prior to our stay, it was very hard to reach someone to adjust our reservation, i sat on hold for 5+ mins almost every time I called and when I finally did get someone, they weren’t the nicest to talk to. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again but ask for a room on the backside of the building as i think it would be quieter on that side. It is a great spot and so close to everything!

The front desk young lady (Bryanne) was very helpful and attentive. She really cares for her guests; she made our stay even better. The Inn is very charming as it takes you way back in time. Rooms are very clean we stayed in a suite, so it felt spacious. A second TV and a trash can would be nice (in the living room). The continental breakfast had fresh waffles, no toppings, berries would be nice. No other hot food other than coffee, tea and waffles were offered. Hard boil eggs for protein was a nice touch. Bagels and toast were offered as well as cold cereal. The big plus is that they offer free parking at their sister property across the small street. Also, it is right on Main Street, so all the action is just outside your door.
