A family run place that is beautifully themed and done up. Rooms are spacious and romantically decorated. Toilets have seat warmers and modern flushing. Showers have a number of options including rain showers. There is an elevator that services every floor.
Everyone in the family pitches in with different roles and it’s wonderful to see such harmonious relationship. The patriarch of the family is the chauffeur, who provides free commute to and from Huang Long National Park, a 5-10 min drive away. The matriarch is in charge of the kitchen and you can order lunch and dinner, nice and piping hot. Breakfast is on the house. Front desk and online operations are manned by the kids.
My only gripes were the original room I booked had a strong smoke odor, probably from the previous occupant. Luckily they were accommodative to allow me to swop to another room. The other room’s kettle was stained with some black stuff… which I’m

GGuest UserA super, super hotel! The room is large and tidy, especially the bathroom is clean and hygienic. There is also a smart toilet. The heating can be turned on at night. The quilt is so thick. The environment is quiet, and there is a rooftop on the roof. You can see the snowy mountains in the distance in the afternoon and the moon in the evening. The breakfast is rich and the restaurant is beautifully designed. You can watch the scenery while warming up the stove.
You can also ask the lady at the front desk to help reserve a taxi to Jiuzhaigou the next day, and the price will be cheaper.

Staff at lobby restaurant are great too. And food is up to the standard.
One set-back is the housekeeping team which needs to be much improved. Bathroom basin & toilet walls were not scrubbed or cleaned. This is definitely important as hygiene purpose. We only took photo of the basin. Sadly, we couldn’t capture good photo of toilet walls.
Wassim Hotel will be great if the management pays attention to housekeeping standards.

EEdwinThis hotel is quite new and at a fantastic location in the ancient town of songpan. The rooms are spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The staff is very helpful and very friendly. They also respond very quickly though WeChat. The staff manager offered a room upgrade which we were very glad with. Great value for money and beautiful building in the style of ancient town

FFihBabyThe cleanliness felt average; I wiped the floor with a small towel and it turned black. However, the room was spacious, and the surroundings are beautiful, surrounded by mountains. The front desk service was excellent and responsive. Breakfast wasn't very extensive, and much of the fitness equipment was broken and covered in dust. The Huanglong-Jiuzhaigou high-speed rail station is only a 10-minute walk away, and there's a beautiful rapeseed flower field in front of the hotel. There's a restaurant next to the hotel that hosts evening cabaret performances for tour groups, so it's extremely noisy until around 10 PM. 😥😥 There are no restaurants nearby, and ordering a meal would take about 70 minutes, and calling Didi wasn't very convenient either.

AANIRUT THONGCHIANGI stayed at this hotel because I missed my train back to Chengdu due to heavy traffic. The room was suitably sized for three people, warm enough for the winter, and came with a breakfast that included various snacks and beverages. The staff provided excellent service, especially the manager and the front desk. I asked the receptionist to help call a taxi, but at that time, it seemed no taxis were available. She contacted the manager to assist, and eventually, the manager volunteered to drive us to the train station himself. Despite the snow covering the car, the manager cleared it off and rushed us to the train station just in time. I deeply appreciate their kindness and generosity.

DDaughterofEveLooking for a decently priced hotel and lovely service hotel close to Huanglong Station? This is it. Hotel is owned by a friendly family and they are very helpful. They cannot speak English but the daughter added me on WeChat to communicate about what I needed anything. She also guided me through the process of what to do to be able to watch English movies. The hotel is neat and clean, and facilities are decent. The bed is cozy and comfortable, with an electric blanket. I was invited for a hotpot dinner, though I wasn't able to go. I requested breakfast on the day I left and they were more than willing to accommodate me - the breakfast was delicious! Yummy noodles. The owner dropped me at the station in time. There are a few shops (supermarkets and restaurants) within walking distance from the hotel. There is a comfortable lounge area where free tea is available, and some snacks can be bought at reception. It has a nice view (especially if it's snowing). There's a river directly outside of the hotel that can be walked along. I also saw a park area. The hot water was a bit of problem, as it didn't warm up fast enough, then would suddenly go ice cold - so perhaps not great in winter. If this problem is fixed it would definitely be a good place to stay at to be closer to the station. Overall, the service and hospitality was great and I would definitely book this hotel again.

JJesús Manuel D.S.C.This hostel is located in Songpan Village, just a five-minute walk from the North Gate, on a shopping street with several restaurants and grocery stores.
The owner, Emma, speaks English quite well and is quite proactive. She helps organize the stay, offering, for a fee, activities ranging from horseback riding to mountain hikes to pick local mushrooms. The only thing that bothered me was that she provided me with misinformation about the bus service to the Mounigou Scenic Area, which led me to hire a private driver, which, in my opinion, was expensive for the time I used.
The twin-bedded room is just right, has old-fashioned furniture, no air conditioning, and the bathroom is also small, with a toilet but no shower. There are no blinds, and the curtains are useless to block out the light from the streetlights that shine directly on the bed (I was on the ground floor) or the morning light.
Regarding the restaurant, the menu is varied, with Western options. I tried the peppered yak steak and it was incredible. Moderately priced.

3. It takes about 14 minutes to walk from the high-speed rail station. It is very close.
4. The room was clean and I was glad to see the mountains outside the window.

6. It was nice to have a cultural experience here. (Disappointing)
1. The windows are not double windows and they are not insulated well. We had to keep the heating on when the electricity came on.
3. There are many places under construction around the building, so the power supply is unstable. Please warm up your bed and charge your phone when the electricity comes in.
4. If you are a non-smoker, ask for a second-floor room when you check-in. The third-floor room has a sore throat due to the continuous smoke coming up from the second-floor cigarette.
5. There was a restaurant near the hotel that said ”Breakfast” and when I went there at 7:30 the door was locked. I looked around all around the hotel, but none of the restaurants were open. Prepare food such as snacks and fruits in advance for breakfast.
6. I think this is for Chinese people only. Foreign lodging registration is not automatic. Please visit the police station next to you at the high-speed rail station and take care of it yourself.

1. The map app confirms that buses run between the ancient fortress wall and the high-speed rail station, but when I asked the locals, they said they don't operate it. I paid 20 yuan for a taxi from the bus stop to my accommodation. I took a taxi from here three times, but no taxi was priced for mileage. You should bargain well.
2. There is a convenience store in the waiting room of the high-speed rail station that sells instant food, the air is warm, and you can charge your phone. If you have nowhere to go, you can spend time here. (We also had breakfast here and charged our phones for four hours.)

GGuest UserGreat place with a great owner. The hotel itself is very nice and it had everything needed, with a nice courtyard. The location is also perfect. The owner helped me plan a day trip where there were no tourists, and he also bought the bus ticket to go back to Chengdu for me, and even followed me to the bus stop. Great help.

AArthurThe hotel is located pretty near to Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport, around 6-7 km, hence the location is perfect for travelers who arrive by evening flight who wish to visit Huanglong Scenic Area before proceeding to Jiuzhaigou, like us. The hotel provides airport transfer from Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport to the hotel for free. You need to call them on the day of departure/arrival at 9 AM to arrange for airport transfer. You also need a local phone number or WeChat account in order to communicate with the chauffeur. They charge RMB 50 for return transfer back to the airport. The chauffeur, Mr Gen, also drove us to and from Huanglong back to hotel the next day for RMB 200. Mr Gen was extremely helpful. My sister slipped and fell while in Huanglong and needed to go to hospital. He drove us to a local hospital and waited patiently for us to finish seeing doctor, getting x-ray done and getting medicine. Xiao Tai at front desk was friendly and helpful. She provided us a few bottles of water before we went to Huanglong. The restaurant staff was also very helpful. As the restaurant was extremely crowded during dinner, we requested for room service and they delivered our order to our room with no extra charges.
