Outstanding service and luxury. The owners personally received and welcomed us. It was the most comfortable stay and bed in the whole time we were in South Africa. The electric blanket on the bed was a welcome touch and they are set up with back-up power and do not have power cuts. Highly recommended stay in Somerset and surrounds.

What a lovely gem tucked away in Somerset Eest! I stayed in the Shiraz room, which was beautifully appointed and so comfy. Outside is a private patio and even a built-in braai! The owner-hosts were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was freshly made and delicious. Only stayed 1 night on a business trip, but it was exceptional. Special mention to the exquisite gardens - the smell of jasmine as you walk to your room is just heavenly.

My stay at Blaauwheim Guest House was perfect - the hosts were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home from the time I disembarked the car on the first day. I was in Stellenbosch on a business trip and wanted accommodation that was not in hotel. I found the rooms to be spotless and beautifully decorated. Mr Johan makes the most delicious homemade breakfast which was the highlight of my day. I spent time in their lovely garden and got to know some of the garden “visitors” and their behaviour over the years. The owners are perfectionist, and I loved everything about the venue. They deserve all the stars allocated to them. Its perfect for businesspeople wanting a peaceful stay without the hassle and noise of most of the Cape Town hotels. Clivias are not for free!

Wunderschönes, überaus komfortables B&B. Man kann es als luxuriös bezeichnen. Schöne Zimmer, hervorragende Betten, vom Inhaber täglich frisch zubereitetes Frühstück mit allem was man sich wünscht. Herrlicher Garten mit Chamäleons. Gute Lage für viele Weingüter, auch nach Stellenbosch. Auch der botanische Garten und die Pinguine und Wale sind nicht weit. Das beste aber sind die beiden Inhaber. Liebevoll, natürlich und immer für den Gast da! Kurz: Wunderbar!

We had a wonderful stay at Blaauwheim Guest House. The hosts ensured that we had everything we needed. The attention to detail does not go unnoticed. Moreover, the breakfast was excellent, especially the conversations around the breakfast table. Breakfast became an extended affair. Special mention must be made of Johan's exceptional fruit platters. We can recommend Blaauwheim Guest House for a relazing break away.

We were warmly welcomed by Johan and Jo-Anne, and were delighted to get a complimentary upgrade to our room. The breakfast was DELICIOUS! The bed, pillows and linen was high quality and very comfortable. The attention to detail is impressive. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area.
