Hampton Inn Somerset

Thankfully, the 2 previous Hampton Inns we called as we were on the road were fully booked because this was a GREAT stop !!!! From the phone call to check in, the staff was VERY friendly and helpful. I am sorry that I didn't get his name. Beds and pillows very comfortable. However, one of the beds was a bit squeaky...unfortunately mine and I am a flipper, so my aunt was awakened a bit. They made a recommendation for dinner at Pine Grill Restaurant with a coupon for 10% off.....and it was wonderful and really close. Breakfast that was provided was standard fare. Well stocked. Food was hot. Dining area was ample, although was getting busier when we were leaving. My aunt will probably be returning to this hotel when she has visitors in Virginia that want to come to the Flight 93 Memorial, which is closeby. Plenty of restaurants in the area and very easy on/off Turnpike.

Clean, quiet hotel. I was impressed that we requested additional pillows in the Hilton app when making the reservation and they were actually waiting for us in the room when we checked in! Most hotels just ignore the special requests and we have to ask after we get to the room. The included breakfast was typical hot and cold breakfast fare.

Somewhat nicer than my other recent Hampton experiences. The room appeared to be recently updated, and everything was clean and in working order. The Wi-Fi and temperature controls worked well. The hotel faces the exit ramp from the Turnpike on one side. My room was not on that side, but there was still road noise from a truck parking lot/staging area behind the hotel. The Somerset hotels are tightly packed in a ***** just off the exit ramp from the Turnpike, and I am. not sure there’s any way to completely avoid road noise

Having had a couple of bad hotel experiences on this trip, the Hampton Inn was a delightful respite. The staff was courteous and attentive, welcoming us and making sure to tell us to contact them for any needs that might arise. The room was clean and comfortable. The only reason I am not giving it five stars is that the lounge chair in the room could be a bit more comfortable. It doesn’t have to be a recliner but an ottoman might help.

We spent six nights across PA and stayed in three different Hilton properties. By FAR, this was the cleanest, with the friendliest staff, the best breakfast, and most comfortable beds. Convenient location off the Turnpike with good local restaurants very close.
