"I would recommend the Holiday Inn highly as .my overnight stay on 5/2/24 was excellent. Free shuttles to and from train station, helpful professional staff, lovely room and good restaurant food at reasonable prices. I will definitely book again if catching early morning flights. Shuttle bus starts at 5am but was fine for my 7.40am flight although long queues at security checks."
"I stayed at the Arden for the UK Games Expo. Despite being rather pricey, it's very convenient to get to the NEC and Resorts World (10-15 minute walk). The leisure centre staff seemed unprofessional, but the receptionist and restaurant/bar staff seemed nice and friendly enough. Room was nearly spotless, aside from behind the TV that were slightly dusty. Our room didn't have a TV remote but a quick call to reception fixed that, they were very responsive. It was a nice comfortable room. I will say the food for dinner is exceptional and highly recommend it!"
"Very convenient for early morning fl8ghts to stay overnight in a comfortable bed with clean modern facilities.
Loved the bathroom!
Greeted nicely.
The restaurant served tasty basics meals. Both bar and coffee drinks.
Didn't like the removal of menus and oth8er table items whilst I was eating. I know I was a late customer. But please, after a long travelling day, I just needed some relaxing enjoyment of dinner and coffee."
"This is a gem of a hotel - we arrived very late and left in the early hours due to catching a flight from Birmingham airport (10 mins away). So needless to say we didn’t see a great deal, but our room was stylish and spotless. If we are to fly out of Birmingham in the future we will ensure we give ourselves enough time to sample the restaurant etc."

"When | booked this room in the description was the word 'accessable' was in the description, this means it is a wheelchair accessable room, I, by lack of a correct description booked this room, as all of these rooms are right by reception I did not get a good nights sleep, too many people in and out at all hours, I had asked for a quiet room, I was told that if I wanted to change rooms I would have to pay an extra £5.00, this I agreed to, unfortunatly there were no other rooms available, when I asked why the room had not been described at wheelchair accessable which I would not have book as I am not disabled and would not book that room as a genuine disabled person may have wanted it. I was told it was down to political correctness. Woke rubbish strikes again, for goodness sake it is what it is, its wheelchair accessable, as I misunderstood the description so could a genuine disabled person and would possibly not have booked this room thinking it didn't have the right facilities in it!!"

Great
JJuzAGirlI rang ahead and asked if I could check in 20 mins earlier but that was extra £20. Was given room 400 but was dirty. Moved to room 435 which was opposite lift and an accessible room. Facilities included tea/coffee, ironing board and safe. The room faced the departures area of the airport. There is a bar & restaurant on site. The room itself was quiet and sound proof from airport noise. Staff seemed friendly enough. But the hotel is more 3 star than 4 star. Convenient for the location.
GGuest UserArrived for check in and was told they had made an error and offered me 2 rooms instead of 1 family room. As I had 2 minors with me this was not acceptable. They gave us 2 rooms with adjoining door so we could still be together.
GGuest UserHotel location is lovely set off the road behind a riding school and the staff are friendly
You have to pay for your meals as you go along as you cannot add anything to your hotel bill.
Water, biscuits and face cloth were not consistently replenished
AAlison JayneCheck in very prompt and friendly. Room clean and fresh. Had food early evening in the bar/ restaurant. It was ok, crispy chicken burger with chips. Would stay here again as it’s so convenient to departures at BHX, walking distance
GGuest UserIt was a nice big room, the bed with four-poster. The receptionists were doing their job properly. We only stayed one night, did not use all the facilities, such as bar, swimming or gym which there were available, only the restaurant.
The bed is too soft, my husband was sank into it. He did not have a good night sleep.
GGuest UserVery warm welcome and everything as it should be. Swift service both at the hotel and Beefeater next door. Good location for motorway but it’s not in Solihull- it’s in Shirley which is a distance from Solihull itself. No problem to us though.
GGuest UserGood location close to M42, free parking onsite, easy access to reception check in was straightforward lifts to all floors and the room was perfect clean and warm.
self service for buffet breakfast good variety for every taste. would recommend this hotel to friends and family.
GGuest UserStayed for 1 night prior to early flight. It was further from the airport than I thought it was. The bed was comfortable and bedding spotless The hubby liked the fact he could see the aircraft take off and land from the room so wasn’t disappointed that it was further than anticipated. The bathroom was adequate but I’m not sure about having a shower curtain instead of a screen but it did look clean. The meals we had were nice and a couple of drinks in bar. Hospitally tray was adequate too. You need to ask reception for hairdryers but not an issue. Overall it’s great value for money and we would stay again. All the staff we came into contact were friendly and professional at all times
AAnonymous UserThe location of the hotel is not very convenient. There are no good transportation facilities, supermarkets and restaurants in the surrounding area. You need to walk for a while to reach the bus station and restaurants. The hotel's front desk clerk was very nice, but the hotel did not provide comprehensive equipment, such as slippers and hairdryers.
