The Royal Haciendas All Suites Resort & Spa

Stayed 3 nights. It is about 10-15 minutes by taxi from the city center. The reasonable price as of May 2019 is 200Bs. When you visit, 300Bs was taken, so please be careful if you have a suitcase. There are not so many restaurants, but the food offered seems to change daily. Dinner can be enjoyed at restaurants that require a bit formal reservation, buffet style restaurants, and teppanyaki restaurants that are limited to the day of the week. There was also a restaurant where you can eat snacks. We did not use room service, but it seemed to be so. All the dishes we ate in the hotel were delicious. During the GW period I visited, a large amount of algae was generated and I could not enter the sea, but the sand was white and very beautiful. I think there are two large pools, a children's pool, and a bath-like pool. Many of the staff are friendly and I think I was able to speak almost in English. The staff of the lobby travel agent was not that kind. Because there was bath in room and view was good, we were able to spend comfortably. It is hotel where we want to stay at again.
Iberostar Waves Quetzal

This time I stayed in two five-star all-inclusive hotels in Cancun, and the other one was the famous Hotel Xcaret Mexico ( hereinafter referred to as X). Compared with the hardware facilities and scenery of X, I recommend this Chinese tourist who is not familiar with Q. ) We went for Christmas, Q Hotels are less than half the price of X Hotels (of course X Hotels include amusement park tickets, not worth the price), not far from Xcaret Water Park. Environment: Q is a very special hotel, like living in the Amazon jungle in harmony with animals, peacocks leisurely walk next to the room, on the side of the road, luck will fly to the balcony railing of the room for you to observe up close; People with a heart can also see howler monkeys, giant turtles, lizards... People who are afraid of animals don't have to worry about being suddenly frightened, except that birds are basically surrounded in fixed areas. Landscape: The largest cafeteria in Q is next to a sinking garden, and one or two people choose a location close to the railings to eat. X is the garden and Q is the jungle. Food & beverage services: Q Hotel has a feeling of being at home, the waiter is more happy and easy-going, the wine is open to drink, the buffet is fresh and there are many, basically no waiting, usually not seafood (it is said to protect the sea), Christmas day big lobster, oysters eat, not stingy at all. In contrast, the waiters at the X Hotel are all feeling of taking money and money for people to eliminate disasters. There are not many people in the buffet and they have to wait. Looking at the place, there are actually few ways to eat and drink. Activities: The beach is an open beach and does not smell the fishy smell of other hotel reviews. For me, if there is a sea, the swimming pool is superfluous, but there are often atmosphere activities organized by the hotel in the swimming pool and the beach, and there are unlimited cocktails. There are parachutes and motorboats for various charges. It is recommended to sign up for snorkeling at the hotel when the weather is clear (around fifty knives), I saw turtles and lizards.
Ocean Riviera Paradise All Inclusive

Really a great experience. I was with my husband, we stayed in the privilege suite, perfect! Spacious room, with individual taps, hydro in the bathroom and in the outdoor area with views of the garden, surreally comfortable bed. The Hotel has a wide variety of restaurants, including Italian, Japanese and steakhouse you must book on the day, the rest just go and wait. The Japanese restaurant is not so much about the food but about the sushi chef's experience, it's more of a show, incredible! I recommend the buffet restaurant as it has a variety of cuisine from different countries and the Japanese restaurant. Unfortunately, we didn't have good service at the restaurant on the beachfront, which is the only criticism! The resort has several green areas, so you can find several animals, super cute!! We went bowling and they even have karaoke nights, really fun! I would suggest just having a heated pool, as all of them are not heated. It's a complete resort, with ice cream parlor, cafe, wonderful. I recommend it to everyone!
Banyan Tree Mayakoba

As the Banyan Tree service did not have to say, that is, the charges are expensive, even the expensive is not good for hygiene, the pool villas, the small collapse in the yard can not lie, placed in the corner of the eaves do not say mosquitoes There are many ant bugs and a lot of spider webs. It looks dirty. The colony is also covered with insect secretions and spider webs. The partitions in the room are all gray, which makes people feel uncomfortable. And if it is too far to go to the beach, it is not convenient. It can only be said that this Banyan Tree is relatively backward, not as good as the nearby Viseroy.
Generations Riviera Maya Family Resort Catamarán, Aqua Nick & More Inclusive

As other reviews have mentioned, this resort blocks Tripadvisor on their wifi, so I had to disconnect in order to leave a review here. The pros: most of the staff (especially the groundskeepers, drivers, and servers) are excellent. They are super friendly and great at what they do. Several stand out, but we didn't catch everyone's name. Alex (The Palms), Jonathan (Jade), Samuel (spa), and Julian shuttling us around are all wonderful people. Our concierge downstairs (female, didn't catch her name) is also great and booked our dinner at Fuentes. Food was mostly good, with the exception of La Isla at El Dorado Royale which was terrible food with terrible, mean-spirited service. The cons: the accommodations are pretty bad considering the price here. We booked a standard room with a balcony (higher floor) but were instead put in one of the rooms with a swim-up pool. It might sound like an upgrade, but it's a lower floor, and the pool is pretty much unusable due to how cold it is. We've been here for 5 days now, and I haven't seen a single person using it. Ants have been a regular pest in here. Our neighbors left out their room service for housekeeping to pick up, and it took them over 24 hours to get the dishes, causing a stink and more ants. The room itself has a comfortable bed, but the bathroom needs some updating. The jacuzzi had the drain completely detached when we arrived, and I had to screw it back in to get it working. The shower has a rainwater head above, but the switch to enable it requires an almost impossible amount of strength (so much so that you'll think you're doing something wrong). The drain is also pretty slow in the shower, but it's not a big deal. Other reviews are spot-on about the room needing a refresh. I can't speak to the quality of Bonanza Ranch, but some of the horses didn't seem very happy. Several exhibited signs of stress in their tiny stables (biting the bar and breathing in sharply, over and over again.) Even our tour guide mentioned it was anxiety-induced behavior. Bad: The Lomas travel people. You'll have to go to this office in order to book your ”More Inclusive” activities. These people have one of the easiest jobs on the resort, and they act like every waking moment speaking with a guest is painful. The woman who booked our activities on the day we arrived was literally rolling her eyes at basic questions. When our trip to Maroma beach was cancelled, we had to rebook with her, and she clearly couldn't wait to be finished talking with us. My girlfriend got sick one morning, and we couldn't make it for our Aktun Chen excursion, so I waited around for the office to open and tell them we wouldn't be going. When it opened, the man there refused to help, saying I didn't give them enough notice (even though I came as early as we possibly could given the circumstances). He didn't really listen to anything I was saying, and also wouldn't even call the front desk to let the transportation know we weren't coming. I hop
Catalonia Riviera Maya Resort & Spa- All Inclusive
4/5102 Reviews
Pros - safe, clean and beautiful - best wifi we've ever had. Video calls on the beach good. And it's free everywhere - enough to do on resort to keep you busy for 4-5 days. - short travel to Tulum, sailing excursions Cons - 75 minutes from the Cancun airport which puts this resort south of Play Del Carmen - the price puts the Catalonia in a category with similar/better resorts closer to other hotspots - not much seating available at the pools - Drank for 8 hours straight and wasn't drunk? Not sure what happened, but like other places there are stories about watered down booze - you use a website to book stuff and get info about the resort, but a bunch of us couldn't book a-la-cartes Tips and tricks - Bring water shoes for the beach (there's always stories about people cutting their feet on coral). - Bring small bills for tips because nobody can break down 50s or 100s on the resort. - Consider upgrading to ”exclusive” or ”privelaged” at the resort. We upgraded for 20$/day and got access to all the perks (up to 25% off at the resort shops, access to the restricted beach bar, pool, and beach area, access to 2 more restaurants, and free hydrotherapy sessions at the spa) making this little upgrade worth every penny Stayed here with my wife for a wonderful week in October 2022. The staff was mostly content and happy, but a bit understaffed at the bars. There was a considerable amount of amenities for the size of resort, with several pools and restaurants. The ocean conditions were very pleasant (bathtub warm) and the sea wall breakers kept it mostly flat. The daytime activities seemed a bit rushed at the pool/beach volleyball court, and the night time shows were well done and varied for content. I would recommend this resort if you're already planning to be down in this area, but it can't really compare to other resorts right in Playa Del Carmen or Cancun.
