We stayed with Crystal Ski and had a Mountain View room (1630). The view was perfect as we were able to see the four runs that come back to the village. The room itself was a bit dated think 1995 rather than 2025 but a good size. You have breakfast in the sport hotel and diner in the sport village hotel just across the road (or preference go down to the spa and you can get to diner without going outside. The food at breakfast and diner is like being on a cruise - plenty of choice - breakfast everything you could ever want and diner a signature dish every night and a great selection of salad, soup and desserts. It is a buffet though so food is on the warm/cold side and be prepared to get pork ribs one day, port loin another day, pork knuckle a other day and chopped up suckling pig another (yes heavy on the pork) but there are other choices. The ski lockers are just over the road and there is a warning sign that you may need to share lockers with other rooms when busy but we didn’t have that problem .. it’s a 2 min walk from the locker to the gondola and you are up in the mountains in no time. The down side is drinks are very expensive compared to anywhere else .. and you do have to pay to use the Spa… but other than that it’s a great hotel and a great ski area with mid party apres ski in the resort.

The hotel is wonderful, you can have a nice drink in the bar, enjoy the snowy night in winter, a pleasant place, very nice service, every night I was in the bar to enjoy a drink and enjoy the music and you look through the window to see how it is snowing, a quiet romantic place, I recommend it, very good rating

We stayed as a party of 6 at The Sport Hotel in Feb 2025. Overall service from staff was very good, however the rooms are in desperate need of refurbishment. I have read through the current trip advisor reviews for this hotel and think most comments are fair. Good Stuff Reception and customer service was very good. Daily, thorough housekeeping with clean linen and towels. Molton Brown shampoo and shower gel in bathrooms Use of communal areas of The Sports Village Hotel. Great selection for breakfast. Omelettes freshly cooked were amazing and not greasy. Lots of storage and hooks. Rooms were lovely and warm (too warm at times, but the radiator could be turned down to a comfortable heat) Safe for cash, passports and valuables etc. 13 bottle of wine and water with dinner for TUI customers Free ski lockers 2mins from gondola Excellent gym facilities and equipment. Bad bits Very hard beds. We asked for mattress toppers but they did not make any difference. Luke warm bathroom water for 2 days. Better after raising issue to staff. No tea or coffee making facilities (surprised as thought this is basic nowadays - or at least a kettle) No Fridge - resulting in everyone storing food and drinks outside of their windows in the freezing temperatures. See photos. Shocking view of a building site to the rear of the hotel, granted, we didn’t pay for a mountain/piste view, but it was horrendous (see photos). Grotty communal areas in Sport Hotel with out of date furniture. Wall paper peeling from wall in bedroom gave everything a damp feeling. Very expensive drinks in the bar. €9 for a small glass of wine. Very very slow service at the bar. Lots of choice with food for dinner, although often cold or tepid, even going in at the beginning of dinner service @7pm. Dining room resembled a staff canteen. Only one small lift - a nightmare when everyone is trying to leave with their luggage on check out. The Spa was lovely, but such a shame it was so overpriced. €55 for 2hrs, per person, when all you want is a 20min dip in a hot tub to get rid of the days aches and pains from skiing. One of our party caught a stomach bug, and it transpires there were at least 13 others who experienced the same thing, which made us question if this was food poisoning. Don’t be fooled that this is as good as the The Sport Village (sister hotel) that this is joined to. The glossy photos on the internet are not what you are paying for. Overall, this hotel serves a purpose if skiing and you don’t mind the run down rooms, however I would suggest this is overpriced and there are significantly better hotels in Soldeu.

Returned to this hotel, having last been here approx 25 years ago. Was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable and clean the rooms were. There’s pleasant lounge area to congregate and play cards etc. Couldn’t fault the food arrangements. The choice is amazing. Bar is a bit pricey although staff are friendly. Loved the spa and used the ‘tunnel’ to go over to Sport Village for evening food. My main request would be for a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Feedback for Crystal is that the ‘new’ half way stop on the transfer is MUCH better than the village that coaches used to stop in. Loved the ski area. Perfect for a group with mixed abilities. We’ll be back

The Sports Hotel staff & Crystal team were excellent. We had friendly & attentive service throughout our 2 week stay, with particular thanks to Nathan, our rep, Juan in the restaurant & Vera on reception. Our only disappointment is the dining experience over at the Sports Village hotel where you dine each evening. Despite an impressive buffet, the hot food selection at dinner was continually lukewarm & plates cold. Although advertised as a family friendly hotel resort, the lack of parent supervision in the restaurant was shocking. Their children’s hands were going in & out of the food, serving spoons were being licked & they were running around the tables. The high rating is certainly well deserved for the staff, breakfast & facilities at the Sports Hotel, although the dining experience at the Sports Village Hotel needs attention, especially for us to consider a return stay here if such dining arrangements remain & we are annual visitors to Soldeu.

There was no mention of having to eat in the restaurant in the other hotel and that there were steps. I have mobility problems and had checked carefully to make sure that everything was accessible. But the biggest problem was a bout of food poisoning that seemed to start Tuesday night. The Hotel said it was a virus but many of the staff said that officials were checking water and other things. If there was any chance that it was the water there should have been bottled water issued and some communication. Unfortunately the holiday was thoroughly spoilt as skiing became impossible and none of my family eat again in the restaurant. I must say most of the staff were lovely but I wouldn’t use this Hotel again.

The hotel is outed, rooms are on the small side. Bathroom smelt of stale water. Pipes would vibrate after running the water or flushing the toilet. The bar is very expensive to. Worst of it is the food. Breakfast was fine in the hotel but you have to walk across the road to the Sports Hermitage Hotel for dinner. This where we picked up food poisoning. However the staff & Crystal staff were all told very quickly to deny it’s food poisoning, with some members of staff trying to blame COVID 19! Sudden diarrhoea & vomiting followed by 36hrs in bed & more illness. Crystal tried to blame a virus but when challenged why they haven’t informed clients that there’s a virus going around they had no answers.
