We planned to go to Muscat from Dubai. The self-driving route is very long, so we booked Sohar Hotel as a stopover. The twin room we booked was given a king-size bed, which was very small. I told the front desk and they changed it. There was a very strong musty smell inside, and the quilt was also very damp, which made me sleep poorly all night. The kids wanted to play in the swimming pool in the afternoon, but it was also very dirty and they didn't dare to go in the water! I would have driven all the way to Muscat and stayed at the Ritz directly...

Nice stay. Location right off the side of the main road. Only 10 minutes to the corniche/ fort/ beach. Breakfast buffet very good.
