Days Inn by Wyndham Socorro

When we checked in at 10pm, it was cold, the front door was locked and I waited about 5 minutes for someone to answer the bell and come to the door. We were given a room on the main floor. Bc the heat wouldn't turn on, we were able to shift to another ground floor room. We discovered that there was no hot water (no shower) and the toilet worked only sporadically. At breakfast in the alcove by the front desk, the raisin bran was decent. The cream congealed in the coffee. Facilities were a bit rustic. I would not stay there again.

Upon arrival at the hotel, I was issued two room keys that did not work. After returning to the front desk, a staff member named (employee name) provided a new set of keys without issue. However, when attempting to connect my work laptop to the Wi-Fi, I received a message stating the device type was blocked. I asked (employee name) if I could have the admin password to resolve the issue, but she said she wasn’t authorized to provide it. When I asked why my device was blocked, she gave a vague explanation with noticeable frustration. I let it go and returned to my room, only to find that my key no longer worked again. After several key replacements, I was finally told not to keep the key near electronics—information that would have been helpful much earlier. When I called for help, (employee name) answered with an irritated tone and later suggested I could request a refund, despite the fact that I had never asked for one or indicated dissatisfaction with my stay. Her attitude felt unprovoked and unprofessional, especially considering I was being polite and simply trying to resolve issues. I’m here on a work trip, and I’ve also booked two additional rooms for colleagues. This experience was disappointing and not reflective of the customer service I expected.

We traveled down to go hiking in the Socorro area and just needed a place to sleep for the night. Is this the best hotel weve stayed at? No. Remember this is Socorro, NM. Youre not going to find a 5 star equivalent to what you'd find in a large city. But the place was clean, the staff was friendly, and the free breakfast had coffee, waffles, yogurt, bread for toast, and oatmeal. The only thing it didn’t have was an ice machine, which is not uncommon in NM, but there's an ice station just down the road, which IS common in NM. Overall, it suited our needs just fine.

No, don’t stay here with your family Would not recommend this hotel. Shady area. Felt unsafe & the room was not as pictured. Would not stay here with family. Stray Pitt bull surrounded our car & we ended up going up the road to a different hotel.

Fast convinent checkin and checkout! Clean room. Contential breakfast was slim.
