Soberton is a delightful village and The White Lion is a perfect asset to the surroundings. The pub is small - three bedrooms plus a couple of bars, a restaurant and a large garden. Bedrooms are small but tastefully furnished with good bathrooms. The restaurant serves excellent food in generous portions. The wine list is brief but quite good. Breakfast was perfectly adequate if unexciting. Coffee was poor. The staff were wonderful - efficient and friendly. A thoroughly enjoyable stay which we hope to repeat.

We had a great stay at the white lion and the food was also wonderful. The staff was very polite and everything was spotless.

Nice looking traditional pub inside, which i had never visited before. I fancied a snack, so asked for some cheesy chips, and they were hard, and as tough as old boots. They were like they had been microwaved. I ate a few, but left the rest. Quite a simple snack, but inedible. It didn't give a good impression of what the other food may be like.

Enjoyable 1 night stay
Great one night stay after attending a wedding in the area. Well appointed room, in adjoining stable block, with bottled water, comfy bed and great shower. Lovely breakfast. We were also given a courtesy call on the day to check we were still coming as we were at the wedding. Highly recommend.

.We had a meal there on Christmas Eve. It was easy to book online. This is a very friendly place. The staff made us very welcome. There is a good range of food and wine on their menu. One thing we appreciated was that a jug of water with slices of lemon and glasses were put on the table before we had ordered. The food was delicious. We would certainly recommend This place for a meal. We stayed at the Old Signal Box at Droxford that was very close by and a very interesting and historic place to stay

Very good restaurant, service & bar. Excellent breakfast.
Staff friendly. We will definitely stay again as very handy for Southampton.

Authentic English Countryside Delight
Staff was incredible, food was delicious and room was small but comfortable and like new. You can’t beat this place for an authentic English countryside experience!

Very comfy bed. Superb shower, luxury towels. The food in restaurant was excellent. Starter Fish platter to share a great choice and chicken Kiev very tasty. Can see why it is a popular place to eat. Staff friendly and helpful. Good well cooked produce at breakfast. Soberton is a lovey quiet village worth a walk around to see church and the views.
