This little stand-alone private studio has had a few different uses over the years-workshop, wine tasting room, music room-but we finally decided it is just too special to leave it empty. So we added a bathroom, sleep area, refrigerator, sink, TV, internet, a little breakfast/eating bar, and just recently, a new hot tub so you can sip your morning drink while enjoying the mountain views. It has become a comfy place for our guests when they come to visit. A view of the Cascades mountain range to the east, and the pond and pastures next to us are all right outside the window. We are a small farm with animals and bees on the property and we are tucked away from busy streets. We're conveniently located minutes to airports, parks, restaurants, casinos, lakes, hiking, wine tasting, shopping, and multiple clinics, so if you need entertainment or services they are all close by. There is a large circular drive with ample parking. I’m an Artisan Log Cabin perched high above the Stilliguamish River. You can find me hiding in the morning shadow of Mt. Pilchuck and always with a watchful eye on the river valley below. As you drive past my gate and enter the 10+ acre property, you’ll be greeted and surrounded by nature and wildlife on every side. Upon crossing my threshold, you will immediately notice that many moons ago each and every log was meticulously selected, cut, hand-scraped and placed with precision high above the river’s edge. My view from each and every window has your ‘serenity now’ in mind! Inside my walls, I’m tastefully decorated with stuff of old and new, but I’d much rather draw your attention to the beauty that’s all around me. Sometimes you just need to get away. To rejuvenate your mind, body and spirit, and take a break from society. A cozy, romantic log cabin tucked far away in the forest is perfect for this. No people around, only peace and nature. The forest is not merely an expression or representation of sacredness, nor a place to invoke the sacred; the forest is sacredness itself. It’s a living cathedral! Come and experience this sacredness at the River Ranch. Rest, relax and rejuvenate!Inside, you’ll have over 2000 square feet to unwind. Outside, you’ll have a nature sanctuary to engulf you. Nap on the handmade swing and listen to the babbling brook that runs along the entire property. Watch eagles catch fish in the Stilly River below. Welcome to Wonderland! Meet "Maxine" our Vintage 1967 Oasis travel trailer. Situated on the ridge at High Rock Castle, this is a unique glamping experience. Journey down the rabbit hole for some R&R. Featuring a comfy memory foam bed, microwave, 3 burner stove, ice box, dining area (converts to a twin bed), and camp toilet. It's always time for tea and you'll find plenty of English Breakfast on hand and a great view of our 18 acres, creek, pond, castle & dragons from your private sitting area!"Maxine" is just 13' long, she's cozy and comfortable. The main bed is a full size/double, the dinette can be converted into a twin (extra bedding in cabinet) for an additional guest.This is a semi primitive camping experience. There is running water in the sink (cold) but if you like flush toilets and hot showers this may not be for you. We recommend bringing drinking water. The "fridge" functions as an ice box only, which means if you add ice/ice packs your items will stay cold for a day or so. We recommend bringing a cooler to keep your perishable food colder longer. She has propane for gas cooking (burners only-oven does not work) and electricity to charge your devices. There is a microwave, hot water kettle and French press available. You will find coffee, cream, sugar, tea, honey and snacks for your enjoyment. There are dishes, pots/pans and utensils to use. There is a space heater to use in the winter and a fan to use in the summer, but her open windows provide a nice breeze and keep things pretty temperate. The wifi comes from the main Castle and can be spotty in the trailer depending on your carrier.
