Hotel was convenient to Train Stn & Town. Staff friendly & helpful. Sunday dinner was very tasty, choice of continental breakfast or cooked for a small charge. There was plenty of outside seating and a bonus as the weather was great We would not hesitate in staying again in the future.

I booked a function room here for my partner’s birthday celebrations. Megan was brilliant, she made suggestions to save us money and couldn’t do enough for us. On the day, the room was set up beautifully. The staff were kind, polite and attentive all evening. The food was excellent and many guests commented on the quality of the meat and salad dishes. The wine wasn’t silly money (I was paying for it for all guests). We and several of our guests booked hotel rooms for the night as well. Yes, the rooms might be a little dated, but I found them comfortable, well appointed and spacious. Breakfast was great and staff again were very attentive. I would book another event there, would definitely stay again and my partner and I eat in the restaurant when we are in the area. Thanks Megan for making g my partner’s special evening do good.

It’s always a concern when any hospitality venue changes hand. That’s what’s happened here, with the previous owners having moved on after around 25 years. I needn’t have worried though. Many of the staff have stayed on to continue providing the excellent service that I have always enjoyed at this small but perfectly formed hotel. The same comfortable bedrooms (number 31 this time), which are clean, nicely decorated, well maintained and reasonably spacious. The furniture is dated, but in keeping with the old school vibe of the rest of the hotel. The excellent breakfast can’t be faulted. I ate in on my last evening, the pasta dish was freshly prepared and oh so tasty. The hotel bar is in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, again. All the staff are friendly, helpful and completely professional. Megan, who is now the “Captain of the good ship Carre Arms” has a great crew working with her. Recommended.

No bread offered when seated. Soup was microwaved and too hot too eat, butter was straight out of the fridge and couldn't be spread. Steak was excellent. Pasta with the chicken was also microwaved. No water or wine offered. Staff couldn't care less. Boss nowhere to be seen. Will never spend any money there again and will tell everyone not to bother.

I have used the carre Arms twice for family funerals and they have been excellent. Great service and lovely food. Also came for anniversary meal with hubby. I am very fussy. With places to stay and eat but they are excellent. Highly recommended

A wonderful, family run hotel. Superb food, great atmosphere and very comfortable. Will definitely stay again when visiting the area. The location is perfect for the train station. Can highly recommend.

A big shout out for the Carre Arms. My sister who is recovering from major surgery has just popped and asked very politely if she could use the toilet whilst we were shopping in Aldi! This request was denied and she was told that there were some public toilets in town. Common decency and respect goes a long way!

The best welcome ever, warm, friendly and accommodating. Overnight stay visiting Sleaford Town Crier competition, arrived too early to check in but was able to park my car in the car park -£2.50 until 3pm as after that it was free as a resident. Short easy walk into the town centre. My room was clean and suited what I needed. Slept ok, mattress a bit too hard for me, but that is personal taste. Continental breakfast, wi-if and parking included in the price of £90. Will use this place again.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at this small but perfectly formed hotel and the second time I’m giving 5 stars. Apart from a small plumbing issue, everything was spot on. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful and the owners are on site and very approachable. A big plus is the hotel bar is in the Camra Good Beer Guide (again) so whereas a lot of hotels struggle to serve a decent beer, it’s excellent here. Book direct with the hotel and a continental breakfast is included in the price. And it’s substantial. Highly recommended. I will return here for sure.
