Skopelos Village Hotel

A lovely hotel within a short 10min walk from the port and ferry. The staff are very helpful and always accommodating. The hotel is classed as a five star although I would say it’s more a 4 star. Great location within easy walk of probably the best restaurants in the town. Our garden / pool view room was smaller than expected and could do with some updating. It would have been nice to have daily towel changes as you expect this from the hotel. Breakfast - beautiful view on the terrace and plentiful and varied. Pools were lovely. Overall, this place is definitely location, location, location. A great 4 night stay in a beautiful and traditional Greek hotel.

wonderful place to stay in Skopelos. Location is within easy walking distance of the town but just far enough away for peace and quiet. Rooms airy and spacious, clean and bright. Although it is rated as a 5 star hotel dont expect quite the 5 star service and facilities of most places however, unless you are specifically looking for that level thats kind of the point. Its homely and tranquil. The hotel is comfortable and so relaxing and the staff are so welcoming and natural. Always space around either pool and never felt busy. The prices of food and drinks are beyond reasonable and the standard of food excellent. Breakfast plentiful with fruits, pastries, yoghurt etc. although can become a little repetitive with the cooked eggs, fried or boiled, a fresh omelette option or variety would be welcome but thats the only small gripe. would happily recommend to anyone.

Fantastic hotel with great staff, breakfast was always a pleasure with ample selections and different menu every day. Management and staff were always professional and friendly with any assistance that guest’s required. The rooms were spacious and clean, housekeeping was done every second day. Location was excellent, only a 10 minute walk to the town as you passed 4 different restaurants along the seafront. We highly recommend this amazing and peaceful hotel. Special mention to Leonidas the manager, who greeted us with cold drinks which were very refreshing after a long trip. His professionalism and knowledge are commendable. Is this a 5-star hotel? I would say not in the conventional sense. The room is sparsely decorated in beige and tiled throughout, with little sign of interior design effort applied. The bathroom lacks a towel rail. Soap and shampoo are in wall-mounted squeezy dispensers. Water comes up through the drain in the bathroom floor when you have a shower. The TV has just 3 channels, all so fuzzy they're unwatchable. Breakfast isn't a massive display of international cuisine. Both the pools are quite small. There aren't many sunloungers. However, I would say that's not the point. The rooms are spacious and spotless. The beds are very comfortable. Staff are unfailingly friendly and helpful. The grounds are full of flowers and shrubs. Food in the restaurant is surprisingly excellent (my wife said her lamb chops were the best ever) and evening meals are very well-priced. The view from the restaurant terrace is beautiful. The hotel website's photos don't do its location justice - it's right on the sea edge with just a quiet road between - it's 40 paces from our room's (29A) French doors to the water and 20 of those are going sideways to the gate. It's just a few minutes' walk into Skopelos town and the view back to town is gorgeous. It's very peaceful without being too far away from the shops, and restaurants on the walk in include The Muses which is one of the best in town. I overheard someone saying that they'd been coming to this hotel for 18 years. I can understand that. It's very much a home from home, not at all a faceless international institution. We loved it. Definitely go for a room with a sea view, and enjoy all it offers on an idyllic island.

The attention of the employees was beyond amazing during our stay, they helped us book activities and renting a car in. Everything on the island is beautiful, I’d fully recommend this hotel and island as a whole!
