We had trouble with boat, so had to find a hotel late at night. After some hours trying, we met the most helpful receptionist at amalia. He managed to get rooms for us. The rooms are big, clean and cozy. Close to shop and main town. Coffemaker, great aircondition. We are grateful that we found this Pearl and the nicest people. All the best from us.

Thankfully we only booked 1 night in this awful hotel, it was like the hotel from The Shining (creepy is an understatement). We attempted the pool area which was clearly used by the staff as their smoking area, don’t think it was their break area as there were no guests to look after, we actually used the pool for 30 seconds after realising how discusting it was and that we hadn’t actually had any vaccines to protect us….it was disgusting. We went out earlier than planned and felt we had to take our belongings with us we then decided we had to actually get drunk to pluck up the courage to go back. We paid for breakfast but we didn’t hang around for anymore disappointments we left as fast as our legs could carry us. We then had to pay €10 hotel tax when we checked out what the reception called a ‘4* hotel’…. I would have paid more to leave quicker. Definitely will not return.

Yes what a place . If you time travel and 1959 is your era then this the place for you . Or horror movies , it’s rated at 4 stars they missed the minus off the front . Zero atmosphere and we never seen any other guests we thought we were that night’s sacrifice, after entering our 1959 bedroom we triple locked our door and kept our passports and money near at all times . Eventually we plucked up the courage and goto the pool, the pool entrance was exiting the hotel walking down the street through white metal doors to be welcomed by all staff sitting around it smoking and staring at us . There was a nice slime shade round the pool to feel really welcoming. So after a 20 second dip we went back to the room and triple locked it again . We have never got ready as quick and went out . Skopelos is beautiful and we needed a few very large stiff drinks to try and forget our horror scene, feeling we were sacrificial lambs . Just to say we never stopped for breakfast as soon as the birds started to chirp we left . Running out the door I’m sure I could hear Jack Nicholson shouting behind us “Here’s Johnny “ . If you like 1958/9 then come along and don’t forget to sleep with one eye open .

Hôtel situé à l entrée de skopelos pas dans le quartier le plus charmant mais tout près du port et donc parfait pour se promener. Chambre propre mais déco assez rustique . Notre terrasse donnait sur l arrière de l hôtel. C était très très bruyant avec la fenêtre ouverte. Nous n avons pas testé le petit dej car il y a bcp d opportunités plus séduisantes en dehors de l hôtel. En effet la salle de petit dej ne nous plaisait pas car sombre. Accueil agréable.

A short 2 night break in Skopelos. Reception staff were very helpful and we were surprised and very pleased to receive complimentary breakfasts on the day we ate there.
I believe the hotel rooms has been refurbished. New aircon, comfortable beds and clean white decoration.

The location of Amalia hotel is in a short proximity of the port of Skopelos (280 meters) five minutes walk.
The staff Is very helpful, the service is great. We stayed at this hotel for eight nights. We highly recommend this hotel.

Our stay at Hotel Amalia was amazing!!! We were just sad we weren’t there longer. Skopelos was a dream come true. This hotel is in skopelos town so just be aware when booking your ferry. Alexandra the front desk was amazing! So helpful and always willing to help! We will def be back!!
