Overall, it's good. It's very unexpected to have such a beautiful farmhouse in such a village. It's completely hotel-style management and the breakfast is great! The room is a bit small, but the view from the window is unparalleled. Only a 10-minute drive away from Skógafoss and Sölheimajökull Glacier. It is right next to the plane wreckage and can be reached on foot. The location is very good. The service is very good. The front desk provides a lot of information and is very accurate. I like it here!

Idéalement placé à 2mn après l'épave du DC-3 de Solheimasandur et à 20mn de Vik environ, il est proposé un buffet du petit déjeuner très copieux et varié, tarifs du restaurant en fourchette haute malgré une production locale. Les chambres (nous étions dans le bâtiment d'origine avant le développement de l'activité) étaient propres, claires et suffisament grandes, les toilettes et salles de bains étaient au nombre de 4 (2 WC & 2 salles de bain ayant chacune leur WC) pour 12 chambres. Une cuisine collective équipée avec microondes, frigo commun, bouilloire, ustensiles. A proximité, des exploitations agricoles, une chapelle toujours ouverte (Sólheimakapella), on est au calme car éloignés de 400m de la Hringvegur.

Really nice guesthouse. Rooms are simple and no frills but well done. Sort of like container rooms but seemed well insulated because we could not hear other guests from our room. The grounds are beautiful and staff very friendly. Breakfast a little small but has everything you need. Only about 15 minutes from Vik on a quiet family farm.

Das Guesthouse ist Teil einer abgelegenen Farm und wird als Familienbetrieb geführt. Die Standard-Zimmer sind recht klein und spartanisch eingerichtet, WC/Duschen sind gemeinsam für mehrere Zimmer im Gang. Es ist auch eine gut eingerichtete Gemeinschaftsküche vorhanden, die für eigene Mahlzeiten genutzt werden kann. Empfehlenswert ist aber auch das schmackhafte und ortstypische Nachtessen im Restaurant im Hauptgebäude. Das Guesthouse liegt unweit des bekannten Flugzeugwracks, das von hier aus besucht werden kann.
