The receptionist a mature lady ensured from the minute we arrived that all would go well even if we were English. She helped my wife with the local Pharmacy (thank you).The hotel has ample parking. Parts of the hotel actually have an interesting Irish Rail history as well. The hotel is right next to a decent high street 5minute walk away. They also served Murphy's in the bar! The room was good but it was the history inside the hotel and the conversion of the Railway bridge into a drinking area very novel. Breakfast was very good and competative no complaints from me Irish Breakfast same as an English to me! Would we stay there again yes we are planning to again next year. Iy is only a 45min drive drom Cork airport.

Excellent stay in this lovely hotel. Staff are superb, really friendly and welcoming. Really go the extra mile for residents. Lovely restful nights sleep and gorgeous breakfast in the morning. Would highly recommend a stay in the west cork hotel

Sincere thanks to Barry, Anne Marie, Aidan and all the fantastic staff of the West Cork Hotel. We recently held a fundraising fashion show and as a venue I couldn't recommend the West Cork Hotel highly enough. No such thing as a problem here, every question asked was met with an immediate solution. So much pressure was taken off the organising committee by the behind the scenes work of the staff. 5 stars without hesitation. Thank you all.

Hotel is an ideal base for visits to West Cork. Staff are extremely helpful and very good. The food is very good and dining area and bar are comfortable. Our room was a little dated but everything you need was available. The room was very warm but radiator was off so just kept window open. However at 7am an extractor fan outside required window to be closed. The sorting of bottles commenced at 9am so that was the end of any sleep. Thankfully we got up to a really good breakfast once again served by super staff. Would definately return but look for a room in a different area of the hotel.

A lovely 3 star hotel overlooking the river. Our room was spacious and recently renovated. The foyer and dining area modern. The breakfast was plentiful and nice the next morning. The only downside was the odour in the hotel, very strong odour of food cooking. But the staff and service very good. I would recommend this hotel

Our Golf Society - The Aghern Society just spent a wonderful weekend in the West Cork Hotel. From start fo finish this stay was 5 star. The management, staff were just out of this world and the attention to detail was just top notch. From the time we booked to the time we left we so well treated. Highlights were a good breakfast and the parking was fine. Maybe some rooms are better than others but our first one was dreadful and I told them ( right by the noisy kitchen extractors and with windows that were ill fitting), the second room was big, but dated. An odd sort of half bathroom modernisation with odd tiles and a rusty towel radiator. Creeky floors, but a big bed and was actually quiet. Felt very dated. I guess not bad price for what it is.
