I Could not fulfil a Saturday night booking, due to a sudden family bereavement It took two phone calls and two e mails about my situation to get a response acknowledging my request to see could I get a credit note or refund and still 8 weeks later no update My advice, as someone who works in sales and customer service, and prides himself on looking after your customer, scroll on and don’t waste your hard earned money in an establishment like this

This is our first visit to this establishment since before Covid and what a disappointment. The guesthouse has completely gone to the dogs, absolutely nothing had been spent to upgrade this place. The furnishings and carpets are a disgrace, the bathrooms are in desperate need of a complete overhaul. In my opinion, this place should be closed down, knocked down and rebuilt. Breakfast was terrible, with one member of staff trying to do everything herself, cooking, meeting and greeting and clearing away, obviously penny pinching, luckily the guesthouse wasn’t busy. We will never be back near this place again, be warned and it’s not cheap either.

I have literally nothing good to say about place. Its just terrible. Essentially just an overpriced hostel. We had a family room for 2 adults and 2 kids, with surprisingly, just 2 beds. Shower/bath was filthy. If i shone a black light on it,it would probably be visible from space. Furniture was shocking. The single bed wouldn't look out of place in a prison cell. Drawers were falling apart and held together with tape. Pillows were straight from the 80s. But the best was yet to come, the breakfast... The 'full Irish' was far from full. 1 sausage, 1 rasher, half piece of pudding, microwaved tablespoon of beans and a few mushrooms that were cooked within inches of the law. We asked for orange juice and tea and were pointed towards a jug of water with a couple of slices of orange floating in it and a kettle. Needless to say, we went to a local cafe instead. Genuinely surprised to see that this hovel is rated as 4 star accommodation. At the very least, three and a half of those should be taken away. If i was given a choice between staying at the Redbank or taking a trip with the McCanns with Bill Cosby serving drinks, i don't think the redbank would get a look in. TL:DR... Avoid this place like the plague.

Where do I start with this review. This BnB was booked for us as we were staying in Skerries for a family wedding. 2 different rooms booked, my girlfriend and myself had a double room. My brother, his partner and kids had the family room. They arrived earlier for the 3pm check in as we had planned to arrive in the evening time. I was told our room wasn't even ready by 3pm. Now onto our experience in our room, we dropped our bags in quick change and back out due to a meal planned for the evening. We got back to our room around 10pm and this was the first proper time we properly checked out our room in detail. The first major problem was our bed sheets where dirty so trying to find someone who worked in the BnB to change our sheets. A lady who worked here got annoyed at me saying she cleared our room before we got to it. I showed her the dirty sheets and a dirty towels that we didn't use and she tried to say they were just stains from the iron oh and the shower having mould all around it. Now onto breakfast this was ill saying was the breaking point, no tea or coffee no juice or actually glasses in general, (we had to use the mugs for juice when it was finally brought out, the juice was not a proper orange juice and cutlery was filthy) the breakfast well they say 'full irish' was a joke burnt beans along with tiny burnt mushrooms I think the pictures I'll include won't show how bad it was. The first morning we all ended up going to a local Supervalue for something to eat for breakfast. Everything about this BnB is a disaster, from the dirty rooms to lack of help and to a horrible experience overall.

I booked 2 rooms for my sons. A family room and a double room. Both of these rooms were a disgrace. From dirt and dust everywhere to soiled bedding and towels, Grime in the kettles and broken furniture. A complete lack of staff about. One room the double was not even ready for the 3pm Checkin. They never even changed the bedding or towels. The breakfast was atrocious and they had to eat in a local cafe which added to the expense. A complete lack of empathy from the so called management. Do not stay here. Don't waste your money as they do not give a damn guests. Its a complete dump.

so grim generally definitely nowhere near 4 star bed is awful it’s like travelling back to 1976 and really not a bargain price. we just wanted somewhere reasonable to stay before catching the ferry after fabulous stays in the west of iteland at cheaper better 3/4 *hotels. staff were very nice but they can’t make up fir the raw material Honestly stay somewhere else if you possibly can

I had high hopes for the Red Bank, Skerries at the price (€110 for 2 for 1 night), rating and from the pictures. Sadly I was very disappointed. Although the room was clean it is in dire need of renovation, from broken furniture to dirty-looking grouting. The shower head is clogged with lime so it sprays out the side and onto the floor, horrible shower curtain that sticks to you in the tiny bath. Despite the price nearly all the products available are from a large German discount supermarket, from the shower gel, hand wash to the yoghurts and I suspect the rest of the breakfast foodstuffs. Arrived for breakfast at 9am and continental consisted of cheddar cheese slices (there were 2 left and it was never replenished), one form of salami (bright pink), one basic croissant choice, some cereals and the aforementioned yoghurts. Coffee was "Kona" filter coffee only which was cold. I had scrambled eggs with barely toasted bread, my husband the "full Irish", 1 sausage, 1 egg, 1 bacon rasher, ½ a small tomato (cold) some mushrooms and very thinly sliced hard black and white pudding. He refused the beans. This is a cut price service at, what I would regard as, a high price. I have to say I was ashamed as an Irish person that this is what our foreign visitors are being offered.

Not impressed - we stayed in this B&B a few years ago and had wonderful stay but how standards have dropped Toilet seat broken, shower very dirty with mould/ black grout. Breakfast was dreadful, with cold tea, no milk , cold beans, cold tomato, fatty rasher. This was not your typical ‘ full Irish’. The staff were friendly but seemed very amateurish at running a B&B This is now a 2 star priced at 4 star level

I never write reviews but I felt this business definitely deserved one!! I took this trip with my dog and I’ve got to say the Redbank guesthouse was so accommodating! My dog was allowed in the room with me and had breakfast with me too! On top of that, the chef was so kind and made two rashers and a sausage for my dog which I thought was so nice! The breakfast was lovely! I had a full Irish. I also had access to the coffee, cereals and juice myself :D There’s a lovely little area out the back where I could bring my dog to go to the toilet or alternatively the beach was only a 5minute walk away. The room was very spacious and quiet which was perfect and it also had an en-suite. The bed very comfortable!! I will definitely be back :)
