I'd call this experience a complete disaster. I found myself paying €25 for a day at the pool with no assistance whatsoever: from the entrance where no one bothers to tell you where to sit, to the lunch with food quality that was awful (cold cuts and various foods from discount stores), not to mention the management of the day where there was constant shouting, screaming, and noise. A day that was supposed to be relaxing only became a source of stress and annoyance. It's a real shame, considering the place seemed promising.

It's a shame, I've been considering this place for years as the ideal escape from stress; it was my paradise. I went on Saturday, and it was a disaster. Screaming, uncontrollable children, parents who screamed louder than the kids, constant ball-playing on the loungers... I'd been waiting a year for a relaxing day, and instead it was a nightmare.

L'hotel est sympa. Mais en avril le climat ne permet hélas pas de profiter de la piscine. On l'ignorait. Mais du coup, on s'est rendus compte que ça a quand même moins de sens de loger aussi loin de Syracuse ( 15 - 20 min en voiture ) en cette saison.

Beautiful, but not a great location
We chose to stay at this hotel because it was just outside of town and had a pool. The ground of the hotel are beautiful, and the pool was perfect in the extreme heat. My only issue was the location. It is a 15 minute drive to the center of Siracusa, and if you don't have a car, you are forced to pay 30 euros each way. There is no public transportation, and it is very difficult to get to any of the nearby beaches on foot.

Rural and peaceful
The hotel is located in the countryside so is a bit remote. There are buses but having a car is better.
We visited out of high season and had the pool to ourselves every day. We loved that.

Séjour Villa Fanusa
La Villa Fanusa est situé à proximité de Syracuse (5/10 minutes en voiture) il est impossible d’y aller à pied, l’hôtel se trouvant directement sur une route rapide.
La villa est magnifique, les jardins sont incroyables, et la piscine est superbe !
Notre chambre était accessible par deux étages ( sans ascenseur) mais sans soucis pour nous.
Notre chambre ( familiale) était située dans les combles de la villa, pas de vue mais des velux en hauteur pour la lumière. La chambre est spacieuse et bien aménagée.
Petit déjeuner excellent ! C’était parfait
service et accueil parfait également ! L’équipe est très gentille, c’est un plaisir.
Seul bémol : nous avons eu deux soirs de fête et n’avons pas pu dormir avant très tard dans la nuit. C’est la spécificité du week-end. Le lundi soir il n’y avait plus aucun bruit donc parfait.
