Unfriendly, unpleasant, and unfriendly receptionist who was anything but customer-friendly and service-oriented.
Breakfast was very meager. Hot dishes weren't kept warm. The room was too small for the number of guests the hotel could accommodate.
In our opinion, the price-quality ratio was poor.
The Wi-Fi and the beds were okay.

Hello. I stayed at the Perak Hotel Singapore in July 2025. I had a regular economy room. The pros are the location. The metro is a couple of minutes away, and if you like walking on vacation, then the main attractions are half an hour at a leisurely pace. The hotel is located in the Little India area, so cheap food, groceries, and colorful houses are guaranteed! Cons: breakfast (forget the word "variety"! Boiled eggs, rice, potato pancake, apples, toast, instant coffee and tea in bags), cleanliness in the room (the cobwebs have not been cleaned for a long time, be sure to treat and wipe the toilet seat), establishments behind the wall with music and loud customers (from the side where the "restaurant" is, music and voices of visitors to the local restaurant will be heard in the room). If you are traveling purely for 2 days in transit, then this is a good option for a low price. If you plan to stay for a long time, then choose another hotel!

The frontdesk lady is rude and not friendly. Breakfast service is to bad only serve fried noodles and no fruits or others food.

Bed advertised as king sized was definitely NOT king sized, it was a queen. I even checked with the receptionist that we got the correct room and they acted like I was crazy for asking. Apart from that room is ok, one of the cheapest places to stay and the quality matches that. Hotel has two irons for everyone to share that you request at the reception. If someone else using then good luck.

This hotel is pretty good and cheap as well. Its position, pretty close to the city center and very close to the train stop, makes everything easier. The area is lively and safe even at night and the customer crew is very helpful and polite. The room is cleaned every day but the breakfast could be a bit improved.
Overall....I highly recommend this place
