I had a deeply frustrating experience with this hotel and would not recommend it to others—especially Singapore residents.
I arrived at 11:30 PM with both my passport and Singpass digital ID, which is a government-recognized substitute for the physical NRIC card. However, the hotel refused to check me in solely because I didn’t have the physical card, even after I explained and asked multiple times if there was any alternative. They were completely inflexible and unhelpful.
This requirement was never mentioned anywhere on the hotel listing or during the booking process. I had no way of knowing in advance, and as a result, I was forced to leave in the middle of the night and lost the money I paid for the booking.
This experience was not only inconvenient and stressful, but also extremely disappointing. Hotels should not impose unreasonable, unpublished policies and turn guests away for no valid reason. I hope this helps others avoid the same situation.
