Wink at Upper Cross Street Reviews

Wink at Upper Cross Street is easily accessible with the MRT (subway) across the street and has plenty of food establishments around the vicinity. I was impressed with the service provided by Kaung and Myat Soe. They were both very attentive and professional. I was also very happy that the hostel was always clean and tidy. Breakfast was simple but adequate with cereal and milk and toast (bread) and jam. Coffee and tea are complimentary for the entire day. First time booking a hotel here everything is good, strategic location and meets expectations, if I return to Singapore, maybe I will stay at this hotel again

Great choice if you’re staying for multiple days or even weeks. Awesome value for money! The location is perfect, so close to two different subway/MRT lines (and buses as well, but we didn’t use them so I can’t say much). We had a private room (two people) and had a lot of space to move around and put our stuff away. The showers and toilets are overall pretty clean! The walls are a bit worn out though so if you’re extra picky, this is not the place for you. But it didn’t feel dirty or gloomy at all either, you just have to know what to expect: once again this is a HOSTEL, not hotel. Be mindful of your own expectations! The beds are also a bit sturdy but you can get used to it pretty easily. I don’t know about dorms, but private rooms have AC and you can choose the temperature! The towels and body soap were provided, the bathroom also had hairdryers. The toilet paper isn’t awesome quality so I’d advise bringing your own if you’re picky. There’s room to put your own food in the fridge, heat it up in the microwave, etc. Overall, if you wanna feel independent and discover the city as you want but still have a good amount of space and things available to use, this is -once again- great value for money!

It’s a good place. It’s very close to the MRT Chinatown station. It’s so convenient because it’s close to major things to do in Singapore.

This hostel is well-maintained and managed, demonstrating ample experience. Basic needs are satisfactorily met. Everyone has a locker big enough for a carry-on luggage and a bag. The staff is nice and helpful. Oh, and the location is awesome. Very close to China Town Station. Small tips: You can bring your own hangers, making it more convenient for drying clothes. If you need a high-powered hairdryer, it's recommended to bring your own.

Superb location, literally at the heart of Chinatown, less than 5 mins walking distance from the MRT station. Everything was beyond my expectations as a budgeted stay option; a clean common area, shared toilets were plenty, simple breakfast provided but unlimited amount of tea, coffee and water dispenser serving all day long. My stay in female 4pax sharing is comfortable and spacious, literally at the end of the corner and you can still enjoy some natural light from the window.

Wink@Upper Street Hotel in Singapore was a huge disappointment for you. The lack of an elevator, forcing you to carry baggage up four floors, and the poor room quality—with a beach towel as a quilt and everything covered in dust—made it the worst choice you've encountered, even worse than many bunk bed hostels.

Nice and clean place with wonderful and listening staff. Staff are always available to help.

Location is good,easy to find,near the mrt station and the food centre,shopping mall.

Good place for the money! Everywhere is clean, few people. For breakfast you can drink coffee, eat toast and cereal. It is located very close to the metro. Great staff! You can leave your luggage at no extra charge. I highly recommend staying here! Don't forget to take an adapter for the socket. But if you forgot, you can buy it at the reception for S$3.

Review on Wink at Upper Cross street hostel: I was a long staying guest at the Wink at Upper Cross street hostel for three weeks now. Location:The hostel is in a excellent location with access to public transportation routes on bus and subway and many tourist spots. Plus close to a shopping mall with supermarket and good places to eat both eastern and western food of varied price ranges. Rooms:The rooms are very clean, quite spacious and not too crowded/crammed. The beds are super comfortable. Working space:There is a good working table space area in the hostel and its quiet to do work on your computer. Beverages and meals:Hot beverages are available throughout the day at this hostel. Breakfast is complimentary cereal and toast. Good if you are in a rush and alight breakfast eater. I recommend the hostel for its location, general cleanliness and relatively spacious rooms. Areas of improvement: Laundry:There are no laundry services at this hostel and I think they would greatly benefit from installing a laundry service or do-it-yourself laundry machine. Or partnering with a laundry service in the area.

Nice location near to MRT Chinatown Exit E and Chinatown Point Mall. Near to Maxwell Hawkers and many restaurants in the surroundings.
