Leider hatten wir einen Notfall, der einen Spitalaufenthalt notwendig machte. Das Personal hat super reagiert, den Transport organisiert und auch einen Gepäcktransport angeboten. Das gute Essen konnten deshalb wir nur einmal geniessen.

Die Chesa Pool liegt inmitten des lieblichen Fextals. Das Glinggling der Kutschen versetzt mich immer in eine andere Welt. Die mit Fell ausgestatteten Stühle erlauben das Draussen Sitzen und die Sonne geniessen. Sich dazu noch mit einem feinen Stück Kuchen zu verwöhnen, ist ein Ferien-Luxus. Die vegetarische Küche ist einmalig und ausgezeichnet kreativ.

Wir haben ein sehr ruhiges verlängertes Wochenende in der Chesa Pool verbracht. Die Lage im autofreien Fextal ist einmalig. Alles war tief verschneit und wir haben auch den Spaziergang ab Sils Maria bis zum Hotel genossen. Das Hotel hat einen schönen geschützten Sitzplatz und ein gemütliches Restaurant. Neuerdings gibt es auch eine Fass-Sauna, was wir sehr schätzten. Das Zimmer war eine Suite, aber doch recht klein. Die Treppe nach oben zum Schlafbereich ist bedenklich steil und der Abstand zwischen Zimmerdecke und Bett beim Kopfbereich sehr gering. Da fühlten wir uns nicht wirklich wohl. Die kleinen Zimmer und die Ringhörigkeit sind wohl der grösste Nachteil dieser Unterkunft. Das vegetarische Essen mochten wir, vor allem das Frühstücksbufett mit den herrlichen Broten. Die Angestellten waren sehr nett, wenn auch teilweise schlecht informiert (Check-out, Benutzung Ovaverva St. Moritz). Insgesamt ein schöner Aufenthalt.

I came to the restaurant today around 3pm and it was about 1/3 full. I sat for half an hour roughly and got absolutely no service or attention from the man at the bar ( he had a pony tail). Two other tables came in around the same time as me and also had to wait a long time. I left after 30 mins and the table next to me acknowledged that they knew why I was leaving. Of the two other tables that came in, he seemed to favour the Italians who for no obvious reason got service (at their table) before the other table who had to walk up to the bar to order. My recommendation is do not leave customers waiting for longer than 10 mins, especially if the room is not busy and if you insist on relaxed service, at least serve tables in order of when they arrived and not at random. Moreover, if you have a preference for customers to order at the bar then make it apparent ( I don’t know if that is the case, but I still don’t really know why I was sat for so long when it wasn’t busy.

Ruhig und gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis
Im autofreien Val Fex ist man als Gast auf den Shuttle angewiesen, womit das Auto in Sils im Parkhaus abgestellt werden kann. Nach einer kurzen Fahrt ist man mitten in der Natur und Ruhe. Zimmer sind sauber, zweckmässig und bieten tolle Aussicht. Frühstück ist okay und vielseitig, jedoch das Angebot beim Abendessen nur vegetarisch ohne Alternativen. Service ist freundlich. Könnte jedoch noch etwas zuvorkommender, aufmerksamer und kundenorientierter sein. Standort ist ideal für unzählige Wanderungen.
