If there were that many empty rooms, they would have been able to assign them... Also, instead of going up to the room by touching the elevator key, outsiders can go up without touching the key, and housekeeping should close the door after cleaning and leave. If they open the door and leave, it is vulnerable to the safety and security of the guests, and it creates an environment where hidden cameras and outsiders can eat and drink without permission. I am leaving this as an employee who worked at a 5-star hotel for 9 years.
