Luna Koh Rong

Incredible experience in a heavenly place. Magnificent room with breathtaking views. The room is clean as in the photos. And the staff was amazing. Perfect kindness, nothing to say. Always smiling and asking us if we needed anything.

Luna Beach Resort is secluded on Pagoda Beach on Koh Rong. In itself it is a nice system with a few quirks and edges. The rooms are all the same, at least in the first two rows. Unfortunately, the round bed takes more getting used to and is as hard as a stone slab. If you don't like extremely hard beds, this is absolutely the wrong place for you. The facility is relatively clean, with a spot here and there, otherwise fine. The bathroom was a bit old, the shower head was full of limescale and was generally rather dirty. But it didn't bother us too much. It is important to mention that only salt water comes out of all taps! The food in the restaurant was great, there is a lot to choose from and the prices are just about within the range for Cambodia, the dishes cost an average of $5-$10. Portions were large and you were full. Unfortunately, the complex is very, very remote, scooters cost around $15 per day, Grab, Passapp and so on generally don't work at all and the shuttles from the hotel cost quite a bit at $5 per person to Long Set Beach. Drinks can be purchased locally at the hotel at slightly higher prices. 1 beer = $2 in happy hour 3 beers for $4. The beach is beautiful and on the section of the Luna Resort it is one of the most beautiful on Pagoda Beach. You can really relax here! Staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Despite the location and the beautiful beach, I cannot give 5, I give a nice 4, because following Covid the hotel is restarting, but it lacks service… The swimming pool was green and not suitable for swimming, much odors in the bathrooms. The furniture on the catering side is old and not very comfortable. The coconut trees on the beach are topped and give a somewhat deserted appearance. The staff did everything to ensure that we were at our best, the dishes were very good (the breakfast a little less so), the cook made us a pepper sauce directly: a delight!!! The owner should invest very quickly, if he does not want to see tourists leaving for the hotel next door!!

We went to Luna Resort as a couple. It was really very clean. The rooms were extremely tidy and perfect for us, and the beach and pool were cleaned every day. The staff was super friendly, motivated and accommodating. The food was also more than varied for us, there was a large selection of Western and Khmer food. We would come here again at any time. Big compliments to the whole team for the lovely stay.
