Chambre très spacieuse, très confortable, avec vue splendide sur la ville la plus septentrionale d'Islande, la literie est très bien, le bâtiment offre une salle de bains pour quatre chambres avec tous les produits de toilettes nécessaires, une cuisine tout équipée avec, chose exceptionnelle, une machine à café en grains automatique afin de déguster gratuitement un bon café. L'ensemble est très propre, très calme. Seul petit bémol, il faut traverser le cimetière voisin pour aller à l'autre bâtiment pour profiter de l'excellent petit déjeuner offert par les propriétaires des lieux, très accueillants au demeurant. S'il fait beau, ce n'est pas un problème. Aucun souci pour garer son véhicule alentour. Cet hébergement est de très belle tenue et on en conserve un excellent souvenir. Il fait partie de nos préférés !

Helga communicates all of the necessary information very well and she greeted us upon our snowy arrival. We stayed in one of the cute cabins which are very well appointed if you plan to make your own meals and anything else you might need. We enjoyed a relaxing hot tub soak and the new experience of an outdoor geothermal shower - wonderful! Loved the robes! Helga suggested visiting the Herring Museum which was so very interesting; enjoyed chatting with two local women at the museum during our visit. We enjoyed a tasty beer at the local brewery and visited a restaurant on the wharf! (thanks Helga) Dagur delivered out ample and delicious breakfast in the morning. Our visit to Herring House was the very bright side of our snowy/rainy weather.

Friendly staff that welcomed us on arrival and made sure we were settled away, also pointed out some great options for dinner. The cabins were so cozy with all the amenities you could need. We were sad we only stayed for one night. We highly recommend staying here!

We zouden in het huisje met de hottub, maar het was erg koud en het regende pijpenstelen. Helga bood ons aan om in het appartement te overnachten. Een prima oplossing ook omdat de hottub niet verwarmd was. Helga en Dagur zijn erg fijne mensen die met hun gasten zijn begaan. Ze geven veel tips over wat er in de omgeving allemaal te doen is.

Stay at this place! The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful, the place is well-appointed, and the location is excellent. The outdoor shower is an experience - especially when it's lightly snowing while you're using it. I would return here in a heartbeat.
