It was a wonderful stay. Pros: * The rooms are very spacious and have beautiful views * Breakfast was good, plenty of options but till 10am on weekdays. And they really start taking away all the food at 10am. * Right in the center of the city, you can walk anywhere * They keep your suitcases after checkout. I asked them if I can come back for them later that day, and they were nice and kept them. Cons *No coffee machine in room. They do have a fridge though. *No iron in room but they do have an ironing room *No parking, but down the street there is free parking, a 8 min walk. I easily found a parking at 10.30pm

We were lucky to spend three nights at the Hotel Athena on our recent visit to Siena. Our room was comfortably large, nicely furnished, with a very comfortable bed with nice linens. The outdoor terrace and bar opened every evening at 5 (this is contingent on good weather, which we were fortunate to have); it's a lovely place to have a drink and enjoy the lovely view of the countryside and the sunset. Breakfast was included in our rate; the selection of breakfast items was good, with freshly baked pastries, scrambled eggs, a variety of meats, cheeses, and fruits, plus cereal and yoghurt. Guests were expected to make their own coffee from the espresso/coffee machine. The staff was helpful throughout; the receptionists were gracious, the bartender very professional. The historic center of Siena is a fairly easy 15-minute walk from the hotel (prepare for some hills along the way). The nearest restaurants are about 8-10 minutes away by foot; we didn't try the hotel dining room except for breakfast. We'll certainly consider the Hotel Athena again when next we're in Siena; it's convenient to the center of town, and really nicely appointed.

Our second time at the Hotel Il Giardino, the first planning our wedding and this time was the night before we went to our wedding venue in August 2022. We booked direct - highly recommend. Free onsite parking too which helps! The hotel is in a fantastic location, less than 1km walk to the piazza del campo. Alice is an absolute diamond and couldn’t do enough for us, our family and friends. Even to the point of booking all our taxis to our wedding venue and welcoming us with a glass of Prosecco, she truly makes the hotel. While we did our civil ceremony at the town hall she made sure everything went smoothly for us and took care of all our belongings. We had a lovely modern room overlooking the pool and city. The pool area is amazing, Tuscany views and the city. Good gym area. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful, typical Italian style and very good coffee. The hotel has had renovations in the bathrooms since we last visited which made a huge improvement. We can’t wait to come back, it’s a special place to us now 🥰

Booked very last minute when our plans changed and we had a fantastic stay. Don't be put off by the outside of the hotel which is quite plain, the minute youstep inside it is light and bright and you will get a warm friendly welcome. Our room was very spacious, had everything we needed and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The air con had been on as it was a warm day so the room was a comfortable temperature. Breakfast was excellent and all of the staff could not be more friendly and helpful. It is a short walk to the old town and about 20 mins to the main piazza. I had hoped for hotel parking as we had a car full of stuff but this was full as we booked so late, so if you're booking ahead reserve in advance. There was free parking in the streets around and we had no problems. Very close to the train station An excellent stay, very good value and would certainly stay again

Self-contained parking, suitable for self-driving, 15 minutes drive from the city, breakfast is simple and self-service, the room is very large with the kitchen, quite satisfactory! There is a supermarket nearby that is not expensive!

When I took the room, I said that I didn't find the order, and I took a long time to get the room. Driving is ok, parking is free and the room is too old. No quilt. Only one can be covered like a sheet. Asked the waiter to give the quilt, and gave two very shabby blankets. . . About 2 kilometers from the city, on the top of the mountain. The price is very poor

Parto col dire che l'accoppiata tra questo hotel e Agoda non è stata il massimo. Siamo arrivati il sabato sera e ci dicono che la prenotazione è per una matrimoniale mentre attraverso AGODA avevamo richiesto una sistemazione per due adulti ed un bambino di 4 anni....la recepnionist ci dice che purtroppo non hanno altre sistemazione e loro non hanno ricevuto nessuna indicazione per il bambino. Premetto che alcuni giorni prima avevo chiamato per chiedere se il cagnolino lo potessimo portare e chi mi rispose mi ha detto che si...non vi erano problemi pagando un sovrapprezzo una tantum....arrivati ci dice che è un problema per il cane perché la stanza che ci hanno assegnato, l'ultima disponibile ha un pavimento delicato per cui non adatto ai cani....dopo telefonata a non so chi ci fanno andare in camera... La camera, con un pavimento in laminato, scadente, già rovinato ....e per fortuna che era delicato....mah.... Ci hanno ancora fatto passare per favore il fatto che il bambino dormisse con noi senza aumento di tariffa quando ho specificato facendo vedere la prenotazione, che l'errore non era nostro....a rigor di logica doveva esser l'hotel a scontarci qualcosa per il disagio... Camera col bagno pieno di muffa tra le piastrelle Letto con solo un lenzuolo molto sottile sul materasso senza coprimaterasso....ho provato per scrupolo a sollevarlo....lascima perdere le condizioni del materasso... La colazione....macchinetta del caffé come quelle che si trovano negli uffici, succo di frutta solo ad un gusto, cibo evidentemente di bassa qualità. Insomma....non una bellissima esperienza

As a title, holiday in Siena and the surroundings are absolutely relaxed thanks to this hotel. The room is not very spacious but clean and quiet, with a large and more than comfortable bed with various very comfortable cousins; a medium bathroom for the healthcare space. The whole structure is clean and pleasant. The hall is large. - Breakfast is one of the MUSTs of this structure with a wide selection of pity between sweet and salt all fresh and expressed. - The staff is always kind and available. - Free public parking at 30 metres. - Excellent price quality ratio. -Historical center 5 minutes by car -Stop bus next to -Position: Hotel Vico Alto is perfect for the discovery of both Siena and neighbouring cities such as Monteriggioni, San Gimignano to the north and the whole south area as a mountain or mountain pitch Montepulciano. The hotel is also close to both the train station and the hospital. Things to improve: - Since the whole hotel is declared ”Smoking Free” would be advisable, in the outer areas DETERMINATE a smoker area, possibly a little far from the entrance and the passing area . . - In our room, although the LCD TV was very large and correctly positioned, it was almost useless, given the very limited selection of channels (only digital terrestrial). It would be advisable for satellite TV and on demand (also as optional for payment). -In some times of the day, due to the ongoing restructuring there was a way of working people (it would be good to delimit their time).

La location esterna è un paradiso, la colazione nella media. L' alloggio assegnatomi non rispecchia la descrizione fornitami in fase di prenotazione né corrisponde alle immagini presenti sul sito. La cucina presenta le stoviglie utilizzate precedentemente, ancora riposte sullo scolapiatti ( tutto rovinato), il frigorifero manca di alcuni appoggi nell'anta di apertura, l'asciugamano lasciato appeso al forno non è stirato, né ripiegato, come se fosse stato utilizzato, il bollitore è pieno di polvere, così come la mensola su cui poggia. Il bagno mette a disagio: la finestrella è minuscola e scomoda da aprire, si affaccia sulla corte esterna, non ha privacy, solo una tendina che con la luce accesa lascia intravedere tutto, il coperchio del water è rovinato, così come la doccia, il box è rotto e presenta parecchie incrostazioni. L'armadio nella camera da letto non ha alcun piano di appoggio e le coperte sembrano riposte a caso, sprovviste del sacchetto per garantire l'igiene delle stesse. È molto caldo perché esposto al sole sui 2 lati finestrati e non ha l'aria condizionata. Ho chiesto spiegazioni e mi è stato detto che le immagini sono puramente indicative. Peccato che sul sito non siano menzionati i dettagli dell'alloggio così come i ”servizi” che ti vengono comunicati all'arrivo: le pulizie sono previste solo ogni 7 giorni, se si desiderano prima, sono a pagamento ( 10€ /di a persona). Non è previsto lo stendibiancheria per ogni alloggio, lo puoi avere solo se utilizzi la lavanderia e poiché la struttura ha la piscina, ho trovato scomodissimo non avere un posto dove stendere gli asciugamani e i costumi ad asciugare. Il letto è una branda matrimoniale, col materasso scomodissimo e sprovvisto del telo di copertura e i 2 cuscini sono di diversa altezza. Da sottolineare che l'alloggio si trova in aperta collina, dista circa 18 minuti dal centro di Siena, perciò non è neppure così comodo per la visita delle zone limitrofe. Purtroppo, per i costi elevatissimi che mi sono stati richiesti, la struttura non merita il soggiorno. Consiglio di richiedere le immagini di tutte le stanze dell'alloggio che vi verrebbe assegnato, prima di prenotare, giusto per non avere sorprese ( alcuni appartamenti sono al contrario bellissimi) e i costi dei servizi extra.

We stayed here for three nights whilst on a fly drive holiday to Tuscany. The hotel is very modern and for us was definitely not a traditional Tuscan place. The main problem is that the bedrooms are just too small, fine if you are staying one night on a business trip but hopeless if you are staying more nights. When we arrived there were two coat hangers in the wardrobe although this was quickly rectified. The cupboards consist of an IKEA hangar in the wardrobe. To be fair the hotel did offer an upgrade at a cost on check in but we declined as the small suite smelt of cigarette smoke. The air conditioning is bizarre as you have to request reception to activate it for you and adjust the temperature - the room controller doesn’t do anything, it took us 2 days to realise. The staff are all very good and friendly. The evening meals are very good, traditional Tuscan albeit in a modern room. Breakfast only average and served in the basement room with so many people and hard surfaces it was very noisy. Reasonably well located for Chianti, Sienna and the villages to the south. It is a bit isolated and if you want to eat out at a restaurant you will have to drive.
