Maison Polanka

This delightful hotel is tucked away in a lovely garden beside a Wat in the outskirts of Sien Riep but not too far from the centre. Our rooms were beautiful, the owner and staff were very friendly and we had a lovely time relaxing by the pool and swimming after sightseeing.We enjoyed the food we ate at the hotel and the advice we were given by the owner about when was a good time to visit Angkor Wat was very helpful. We felt very lucky to be able to stay in such a quiet and peaceful place after what were sometimes quite strenuous and crowded ( although fascinating) excursions to temples. Thank you very much.

This was as personal as staying in someone's home but without the obligations! We went to Siem Reap market with June, the hotel chef and then cooked (simply) our ingredients. We learned so much about Khmer food, which made the whole of our trip to Cambodia so much better. She is also a seriously good cook - think Cambodian version of an Italian mama. Highly recommended. Also, vegetables feature strongly in Khnmer cuisine. I am not veggie and loved the food. A vegetarian would be in heaven!

If you prefer small luxury hotels that reflect their surroundings, Maison Polanka is a gem. There are only 7 rooms housed in traditional Khmer houses situated in a magical tropical garden with a spectacular pool. Unlike many larger 5 star hotels, Maison Polanka is located in a local neighborhood so when you leave the property, you feel apart of the town. Each room is exquisitely designed by the owner, Nathalie, who greets guests warmly each day. When dining at Masion Polanka, you feel like you are dining in a private residence. The staff were available to meet all of our needs and helped us to plan our visit to Siem Reap, including a private tour of the main temples with an archeological guide one day and an off road bicycle excursion to the park the next day during which we visited a few less visited sites. We are seasoned travelers and were enchanted by this beautiful small hotel.

Totally unexpected - a hidden oasis - Stunningly beautiful gardens with traditional timber houses placed carefully amongst the trees and flowers. The food is superb and the hosts are intelligent and warm. We would advise anyone discerning to go there

Heavenly is the only word for this hotel. It is as beautiful in real life as in pictures. Traditional wooden Cambodian houses are refashioned into elegant rooms with private outdoor space. The gardens are lush and full of birds. The food in the open air dining room was delicious. The staff Is just lovely. After long hot days trekking around temples, it was fabulous to return to this oasis of beauty and calm
