Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Sidney, NE

I’ve never had a worst stay at a hotel. We booked 3 rooms for 2 nights and left less than 12 hrs after checking in. None of the ice machines worked, none of the security locks on outside doors worked allowing anyone access to the hotel, the hot tub was broken, and we were told that it would not be repaired over the weekend as there is no maintenance on the premises on the weekends. Mold in the showers, terribly prepared and stocked breakfast room reservations were not correct and hotel staff was extremely rude. One of our rooms had a terrible smell, and the woman at the desk told me it was a beautiful room and I had no other options as they were overbooked for that room type. At check-in one guest was checked into a dirty room and two others had problems with their reservations so it took me over 30 minutes to get checked in at which time I was told the room I reserved was not available until the next day.. where I will not be staying at this hotel and I will tell everyone in my family who visits Sidney to see family we have there to avoid it at all costs.

At 1:00am, April 26, the room key would not open the room door. The night attendant after much back and forth to the front desk was finally able to open the door and provided me a key. The key worked initially. I put some of my gear in the room and went out to the car for the rest of it. Upon my return the key would not open the door. The night attendant was also unable to open the door. The manager was called. Surprisingly enough, the manager who arrived was the night attendant from the Quality Inn where my room key would not work and where I had previously been that evening since 1200am, thus the reason I had to go to the Country Inn and Suites. He was able to take the lock off the door and give me a key that did the same. I was able to get into my room at 2:45am which made for a very short night due to needing to get on the road at 6:30. The main manager Ira, though very polite when I was able to contact her as she did not return calls, compted my room for the short stay. That was the least she could do. I have been a Choice Privileges Member for more than 20 years and am very disappointed in the treatment I received from her and the debacle I went through at both motels.

It was a nice place. Staff were very kind and helpful

Pool and hot tub we're not working and notice on door closing it was for many months previous. Breakfast was meager. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Bathroom only had one set of towels, no body wash in bathtub and no Kleenex.

The staff was awesome! First room key didn’t work! But it had a loud neighbor so I asked to be moved! Room #2 wasn’t even made up! Room #3 was perfect.

Was very clean, and staff was nice!
