The room facilities are pretty good in the town, but the breakfast staff are a bit discriminatory towards Chinese people. They are very friendly to locals.

Lovely hotel, we chose this because it was adult only, our room has recently been upgraded, you can use the facilities of the Victoria Hotel, swim spa etc. Staff are very attentive and friendly and any request is dealt with immediately. The gardens at this time of year are a riot of colour. Food is amazing, but think the bar is abit expensive. The beach is just over the road so handy for paddling or swimming, town just a walk away, all in all a great break.

Excellent hotel situation in superb location very friendly and experienced staff from start to finish really enjoyed our stay. Excellent choice of food served in beautiful setting, every meal was done to perfection couldn't have asked for better.

The staff can't do enough for you. Hotel and food are great. Be prepared to put on weight! Lovely rooms and everywhere very clean. We had a room with a balcony which had a lovely panoramic view. Look forward to returning.

Although we had a very nice stay and enjoyed visiting Sidmouth we wouldn’t choose to stay in this hotel again due to being made to feel very unwelcome in the drinks bar. We didn’t eat in the hotel but always like to come back to the hotel for a drink before bed. Unfortunately we were made to feel very awkward in the bar and the older gentleman waiter was very reluctant to serve us, although he was very friendly to the older guests in the room who were obviously regular guests. Even the next day we wanted a pot of tea on the terrace in the morning and he absolutely blanked us and asked another member of staff who was very busy to serve us. She was friendly and was very helpful. Although the other staff and receptionists were friendly and the hotel had some good points I would not choose to stay here again due to being made to feel uncomfortable. It is certainly not what you want from a holiday.

This is an excellent hotel on the seafront at Sidmouth. It is clean and well presented and the staff are exceptional too. They all pull together and the manager works with them daily serving in the restaurant and helping with luggage for example. The quality of the food is top class and hot food is served on hot plates. This seldom happens now and is so good. The fact that the hotel is ‘adults only’ makes for a quiet stay. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.
