Side Golden Rock Hotel 16+ Adults Only

On arrival the welcome we received was ok. We arrived later than expected and had missed the evening meal, but 4 tiny dry bread rolls with cheese had been left in the room. Twin beds would have been preferable , but the room had a double bed that was so hard that my daughter and I suffered awful back problems each day. We soon found that the constant drone of Rap music all day around the pool became very draining, this and the poor quality of the food and drinks and the lack of entertainment made us both feel very miserable. We were really looking forward to going home. Whilst the cleaning lady was lovely, we only received shampoo/soap etc on the first day, which had to last 10 days. 2 sachets of coffee in 10 days, but clean towels were left most days, although one day we had none. To be fair after all of this had been discussed with the manager the music around the pool became softer, which created a more relaxed vibe. The food became more varied and more choice was available. Staff seemed more welcoming and happier in their work. We felt more relaxed and by the end of the 10 days we were sorry to be leaving. I very much respect the way that the hotel is run. Trying to reduce waste and being environmentally friendly is admirable, but people are paying to stay and enjoy their holiday, so a better variation in drinks would certainly be helpful, especially for those that don’t drink alcohol as warm bottled water becomes monotonous . But fair play to the staff for the effort made during my stay there. I hope the same level of customer commitment is maintained well into the future. I am sure this hotel will be popular if high standards are continued. This hotel is for adults only. Don’t go there expected disco and entertainment every night, this hotel is about relaxing and letting all the stress go. Also note you will need to pay for use of the internet and this is per person.

I have spent a week in this fine hotel and enjoyed it very much. Room: spacious, complete and cleaned every day. The beds have firm matrasses, which I like. Restaurant: good meals, a lot of Turkish specialties, great saladbar, drinks served at your table. Swimming pool: clean and spacious. Having it's own bar for drinks and snacks. Staff: very friendly, Ismael, Resul and Mustafa are the most friendly and service minded people. Big compliments! Location: a few hundred meters from the boulevard, which strechtes out for about 5 km, so your evening walk keeps you in shape ;-) Will I come back here? No, because I never ever go to the same place on holidays, but I would highly recommend this hotel for everyone looking for a fine experience in Side Turkey!

I visited the golden rock side hotel. The staff are all very hardworking. The staff in restaurant and bar go out of their way to serve you. The food is very limited for breakfast they need to add more variety add yoghurts and have a bread toaster machine as they did not have this. Lunchtime food is very limited they need to have more hot dishes as they have around 20 salads and only 4 hot dishes. Dinner they have a grill which is very good. The fruit is very limited the hotel didn’t even have bananas. There needs to be a variety. The rooms are very clean. They didn’t have any entertainment at night. If the hotel has this it will make this hotel very good. Reception staff are very nice. Bojar was very kind and helpful. I had a great stay in this hotel and was very close to the beach. The snack bar was closed and didn’t open until 4 days before I was coming home. The hotel need to offer snacks like burgers, fries, pizza and do an afternoon tea with sweets and cakes. This was a 4 star hotel but all these minor improvements would make it better. I was disappointed at the beach you only get a sun bed and drinks you need to purchase even if you are all inclusive. If they could offer drinks at the beach and food this would be a benefit as other hotels offered this as part of all inclusive. It was far too hot to sunbathe at pool. They didn’t offer crisps or peanuts at bar there was only drinks. The music from neighbouring hotels was very loud. The stage was just outside my room on first floor. So you could hear music until midnight. I guess I’m used to staying in 5 star hotels. Overall had a really nice time.
