Gazipasa Star Otel

Before I book hotels, I always do my due diligence and look at reviews online prior to booking and as promised, this hotel was great! It's not the Ritz and doesn't claim to be, however I got an inexpensive hotel in a good area which was close to all of the amazing historic sites, the old town and beaches. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, as were the management who are a small family. The bar area has nightly entertainment with excellent service and it is clean with a wide choice of alcoholic drinks at reasonable prices. The staff at the bar area are also really friendly, hardworking and helpful. Everybody speaks good English. They also do excellent and well priced food in this area until around 2200hrs. The rooms here are basic but clean and totally adequate, with a balcony and good air conditioning which contrary to the claims of other reviewers, costs no extra. I'd say that they do need some modernisation, especially in the shower area but they were fine and I have no complaints whatsoever. This hotel has an excellent and well serviced pool area, with a clean, safe and shallow pool which is surrounded by an adequate amount of sun loungers and umbrellas, which are all in good condition. This hotel is ideal for families on a budget and also for couples who want to be close to the action but don't want to pay a fortune. In fact this resort is massive and I noticed that there are some higher priced hotels in the area which seem to be miles from anywhere and it is most certainly a long and expensive taxi ride to get to the Old Town for example. This hotel is a fifteen minute walk to the Old Town, Amphitheatre, Nympheaum, and Colonaded Streets. Perfect! If I were to return to Side, I would most certainly stay at this hotel again. We were half board and whilst it is clearly made to a rigid budget, the food is well made, nutritious and filling. A special thanks should go tot he head chef who clearly takes a lot of pride in his food and was incredibly freindly!

Absolutely loved this friendly hotel very clean food was very good quality made on site .great reception staff nothing was too much trouble. Cleaner came round every day .every room faces the pool area which is ideal we stayed in room 403 1 big double bed 1 single which was great for us as 2 ladies enjoying a break I would highly recommend and would definitely be back
