Thistle has seen better days and the management knows it. A notice states that renovations are ongoing. Just so happened that we came at a time when works are yet to be completed. Location-wise, it's a very short distance to the beach and thats a huge plus point. Staff are friendly and helpful. Overall a good trip.

I choose the hotel mainly because of the private beach they have and like many reviews mentioned, it is clean. However, the most disappointing part is the hospitality of the hotel, their staffs are not welcoming and can feel that there's no proper training provided on customer service and hospitality.

The place got its private area for beach. Good view from our room. Breakfast serves a variety of food. Room cleanliness can be better improved.

Thistle PD is our choice to stay in Port Dickson for our vacation. The luxurious amenities, exemplary services, and prime location are what grabbed our attention to the hotel. We loved everything!. I highly recommend Thistle PD for its cozy rooms, friendly staff, serene atmosphere and customer service. We appreciate the attentiveness and friendliness of the entire team, especially Cik Fiza at the front desk and En Azmir. They were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making our stay truly enjoyable. We had a wonderful experience thanks to the excellent service provided by the staff. Thumb up to Cik Fiza & En Azmir. We definitely come back again to Thistle PD !

Overall the facilities is good, however the lift of the building need to be improve, when is peak hrs May need to wait 5mins times. And the room door is difficult to push.

Hotel has a very narrow nice exterior with spacious lobby overlooking a very large swimming pool adjacent to the sea shore. Has ample car parking space. Checkin experience was smooth and was allotted the room though I reached two hours earlier than 3pm checkin time. I stayed for one night only and the breakfast spread on following day was nice. I could get some vegetarian options like veg noodles, roasted pumpkin, beans, paratha and dal for my vegetarian family members. Could not experience most other facilities like water sports, theatre etc as I had other engagements.
On the flip side, the hotel rooms, lifts, furniture are a little run down. The electronic lock of my room entry door didn’t work first time and had to complaint before it was fixed after I left my bags in another room. The bathroom doors hangers were broken, the power point for electrical kettle was not working and had to use another one, Requested for water bottles atleast 3 times but no one turned up and had to go and fetch it on my own from front desk.
Overall, very nice ambience and location. Next to sea beach. But maintenance and service leave a good room for improvement. Price was reasonable (rm 240 per night for twin bed with breakfast for 2 adults).
