The only thing “Airport” about this hotel is that it’s on the departure path for one of Logan’s runways. I heard airplanes… and worse … trains during my brief sleep. No shuttle for arrivals after 22:00 … so add $30 for Uber. Maintenance was suboptimal, the very large TV in my room has dead pixels in the middle of the screen. Very distracting to see a big hole in everyone’s face. Not a total loss, evening front desk lady pleasant, but I definitely will make a more informed choice next time.

I reserved this hotel because this is advertised as an airport hotel. The hotel writes and says on its answering machine: ”Average drive time under ten minutes.” When I checked in, the front desk-person, ”Monica C.” told me to leave 30-40 minutes for the shuttle because they hotel is located across a drawbridge, which means you may be stuck in the small, crowded shuttle-bus for that long on the way to the airport. (Good chance of getting COVID in that little bus of maskless people, if you're into that sort of thing.) Therefore, it doesn't make sense to stay here because the hotel is expensive, shabby and in a loud and crappy part of Boston. So it would be better to stay in a nicer part of the city -- everything is 20-30 minutes from the airport -- or stay in an ACTUAL airport hotel that is ACTUALLY 10 minutes away. The hotel refused to refund my reservation when I decided to not stay here due to the time it takes to get to the airport.
We are off U.S. Route 1 and Massachusetts State Hwy 16. The Boston Logan International Airport is about four miles away and we provide an airport shuttle. Mystic Mall and Mystic Brewery are both less than a mile from us. Visit the Bunker Hill Monument only three miles away. Board room space is available for small meetings.

CCuriosity54223214054We stayed here for one night before moving to a Cambridge hotel. Rates are certainly much cheaper than a Boston or Cambridge hotel, and rooms are big. As this was the middle of our trip, we took advantage of the coin-operated laundry facilities, which was great. Closes early though; i think 10pm, which is not ideal if you have several loads to do. Breakfast was good: standard for Fairfield Inns. Front desk staff not friendly, but not rude. Tip: choose and ask for room nearer the elevator. We were given rooms near the end of the corridor, and it was quite a long walk for seniors with luggage! Choose room carefully if distance from room to elevator is an issue Nothing to see anywhere near the hotel, but for an overnight airport hotel at the start or end of a trip, it is ok.
NNealTWBThe Residence Inn is the place to stay in Chelsea, especially while the Homewood Suites across the street is temporarily closed for renovation and expansion. The rooms are spacious and clean, the breakfast is good with a wide variety of selections that varied by day and the staff is universally helpful and friendly. The shuttle only drops off at the airport in the morning, but getting to the hotel via the Silver Line T from the airport is cheap and easy if you want to save on an Uber or Lyft. The transit stop for the Silver Line and commuter rail stop is a very short walk away. The neighborhood is experiencing rapid growth with many new residential and commercial projects underway or planned. I would definitely stay here next time I am in town!
GGuest UserI recently stayed here for one night before an early morning flight. The hotel is quite convenient to the airport. It’s relatively new. The place is spotless, and I mean spotless. The rooms are large and comfortable. The beds are also very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. Why did I not rate it 5 stars? It’s a Holiday Inn. It’s not a luxury hotel. I didn’t rate it 4 stars because it claims to be an airport hotel, yet it doesn’t offer a shuttle. They are very clear about this on their web-site, however. What disappointed me was the lack of a lobby bar and restaurant, which the IHG web-site does claim it has. It does offer breakfast, but I checked out hours before that started. With just breakfast available, perhaps they should rebrand as a Holiday Inn Express? I would recommend it, but just be aware of no shuttle and no evening dining options.
I'm going to start with the positives, because I want to like this hotel and my experience at it. First, the people are great. You won't find nicer, more polite people working at a hotel anywhere in Boston. Second, the rooms themselves are great looking, and this is a very attractive property with a really nice meeting area and a lot of amenities, including a large bar and breakfast area. The beds themselves are comfortable, as are the furniture in the rooms. I'm finding this to be increasingly rare across Hilton brands. Showers are absolutely comfortable for persons of height and size. The location itself is really very good, whether you need to be near Logan or to do business around downtown and, relatively speaking the rates themselves are pretty good. Constructively speaking...hot water for the shower is hit or miss. There are two key deferred maintenance items in our room, and the shower water handle is one of them. Air conditioning, in general, is problematic, and this was the other. The compressor on the bedroom air conditioner was extremely loud, and the general room fan was also loud. Which was a good thing because this hotel offers zero sound insulation from the outside, and if your had an odd numbered room facing Route One you had no buffer from the constant road noise. If you're someone who needs relative quiet to sleep, you're out of luck. Were the towels and wash rags clean? Well, probably, but the fewer questions you ask on what you're handed, the better. Parking is...an adventure. There are probably enough spaces but that lot is poorly designed and prone to flooding in spots. Also, people requesting a digital key do so for a reason; and that reason is because they don't want to have to stop at the front desk. Give people the digital key and stop asking for ID.
