GGuest UserThe room is not big, but it has everything you need and is clean and tidy. This is the only hotel you can choose in Fox Town. This hotel is pretty good. The breakfast provided needs to be self-service, but it is well prepared. The service is quite considerate and they specially recommended the best location for viewing the glacier for us.

ZZuiaiyouThe environment is beautiful, surrounded by rainforest, glaciers and lakes. The facilities are a bit long but clean. The kitchen is fully equipped and very relaxing. But there is nothing for sale in the small town, and the items in the canteen are very expensive. Saw lots of free fireflies

The boss lady is very nice, but it's a bit far from the center. If you don't have a car, it's not very convenient. You have to walk a long way, but the boss lady is very good and offered to take us

1123-travellerA typical motel with its own kitchen and bathroom. The room facilities are very good and the hygiene is also very good. In addition to the bed, there are sofas, dining tables and dining chairs. There are front and back doors, parking on one side, and a lawn and leisure platform on the other side. The service staff is very enthusiastic and will tell you the nearby tourist information and weather conditions. The hotel is on the Fox Glacier Road. Go to Lake Mathisen and the glacier viewing point on the right hand side of the door. Just drive straight and follow the road signs. No navigation is required. In short, it is cost-effective and very satisfactory.

FfslimaiWhen we arrived, the receptionist was out, so our order was posted on the glass outside. We looked at the name and found the room number and went directly to the room. The key was hanging on the keyhole at the door. The room was well-equipped, but we were too lazy to cook, so we found a popular restaurant 100 meters away from us.

WWheneverThe room is very costly for motel standard. We have booked the room of 1 double + 1 single only to be told this is for 2 pax! Last minute being asked to top up NZD123 to accommodate 2 kids. The room is dated with basic necessities, hot water run out in the middle of shower and the bed is soft with parts sunk in.

GGuest UserThe male receptionist who greeted us was not particularly friendly; and only when we got to our first floor room did we read about a luggage service. The room was tastefully furnished and clean, and other staff we interacted with were friendly. However the biggest issue is that the walls between rooms are are paper thin so we could hear people next door and doors banging. This woke us up early on both nights we stayed. If you stay - bring ear plugs. There was a lounge with a bar - the bar was permanently closed so there was no where to get a hot or cold drink unless you went to a cafe down the road.
