Excellent
RRaeMeteor Garden is located conveniently 5-7min drive from main Hakuba Village. One thing to note is that the main cafe in the stay is not open so need to find other dining alternatives. Rooms and amenities are clean and well maintained, the one issue is that it’s not well marked on Google map as it keeps pointing to the restaurant which was not opened and gave us a false alarm. Wifi is not the fastest and does not handle multiple devices that well especially when you are trying to work. There was some confusion when booked via Trip as the contact information was somehow truncated so hotel was unable to contact me without going through Trip thus messages were delayed. Overall it was an enjoyable stay and everyone had a great time…

Very Good
GGuest UserDuring the skiing trip in Hakuba, although I didn't drive myself and the transportation was a little inconvenient (the shuttle bus with fewer flights sometimes couldn't fully meet the needs), the hotel's front desk service made me feel extremely warm and thoughtful. Here, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to several front desk staff for their enthusiastic assistance and professional service. This was my first time to go skiing in Hakuba. I was unfamiliar with the local environment and did not have a car. In addition, I had to send my luggage back to the airport, so I encountered many challenges during the process. First of all, I would like to express my special thanks to an older male waiter who was kind and polite. He helped me with the delivery service. The process was very careful and made me feel at ease. Secondly, thanks to a short, slightly fat but smiling male waiter. After learning that I had been waiting in the lobby for two hours because the shuttle bus did not arrive on time, he tried his best to help me call a taxi to the ski resort. Although he was unsuccessful in the end, he understood my persistence and was always willing to help. When I got back to the hotel, as time was tight, he took the initiative to ask his supervisor and quickly helped arrange a hotel car to take me to the station so that I could catch the bus and JR train to Tokyo. At the same time, he also helped me pick up my stored luggage and assisted in moving it. He was more anxious than I was throughout the whole process, which deeply touched me. I am deeply sorry that I was unable to express my gratitude or give a tip in person as I was in a hurry at the time. Also, I would like to commend a young waitress. Although she was inexperienced, she was still careful and responsible, and tried her best to solve my problem, which made me feel her dedication and professionalism. During this trip, the sincerity and enthusiasm of these service staff provided me with great help. Even when faced with emergencies, they always put themselves in the guests' shoes and demonstrated an excellent service attitude. Next time I visit Hakuba, I will definitely choose to stay at this hotel again because their service makes me feel at home. Thanks again! In addition, the staff who clean the rooms are also very professional, polite and responsible. As for the hotel facilities, cleanliness, decoration and the quality and style of the restaurant food, they are all great.

GGuest UserHere's a review for Courtyard Hakuba: Sure! Here's a review for Courtyard Hakuba: We stayed at Courtyard by Marriott Hakuba with our family and had a comfortable experience. The room size was adequate for our needs, providing enough space to move around comfortably. However, the combined bathroom and toilet were a bit on the smaller side, which might be a consideration for some travelers. The breakfast offered could definitely use some improvement. It was quite repetitive with not much variation from day to day. A bit more variety would make the dining experience better. We skied at Hakuba 47 and were pleased with the convenience of the shuttle service provided by the hotel. The shuttle operated at designated times, making it easy to get to and from the slopes. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay and would return.

MMeowVanWhat an awesome experience! The hotel offered exemplary service before we even arrived. Due to special travel arrangements, we arrived late and the staff quick to arrange an in-room bento dinner for us before our arrival. When we got there, we were immediately blown away by the gorgeousness of the hotel. Despite its age, everything was very clean and polished. I can see that great care had been taken to upkeep the hotel and it’s premises, which are extraordinarily beautiful. We couldn’t resist taking pictures even after check-out, and it took us an hour to finally reluctantly leave. Words cannot actually do the place justice, you must visit there yourself. We were very impressed with how delicious the food was, and the attention to detail, including the placement of the food, the coordination of food color. My mouth is still watering as I recall how delicious it was. I had 10 helpings of their prime rib one day. Besides, I had a dietary restriction and the staff were really careful with that, to the extent of reminding me what dishes not to eat everyday at their breakfast and dinner buffet. In addition to excellent food and service, the hotel went out of its way to be very eco-friendly. For every day that we did not need our room to be tidied, we earned points, which can be traded in for ice cream or other goodies. Finally, the staff spoke perfect English. This is rare indeed, and it made everything so much easier and so much more enjoyable. Thanks for the experience!

GGuest UserThe snow view of the hotel is very charming. There are free snacks and hot red bean soup, which is good! Dinner is included in the room fee. French Western food is only for steak. Very exquisite. Breakfast is very poor. There are very few things. I would rather eat cup noodles than go to the restaurant the next day. But the hotel is very old and shabby. The facilities are the hotel facilities of China 20 years ago, and the four-person suite costs more than 7,000 a night. The shower room in the room has no exhaust, which makes the whole room extremely smelly. The whole room is very shabby. Spraying a lot of perfume can't cover it. The attitude of the ** Japanese man who booked the dinner at the Western restaurant was very bad. The first night was arranged in the snow view lobby. The second night was arranged in a small private room next to the lobby, with four walls inside. The last table of 6-7 people was dining. I asked him why he sat inside, and there were all empty seats outside. Why didn't he let us sit. He couldn't explain. He said he had to sit inside anyway. Later, he called a girl who could speak English. He rejected us with all kinds of unreasonable questions. He said that someone had booked something. The whole lobby was empty. Later, after our negotiation, he saw that we were very determined and helped us arrange it outside. So I seriously suspect that the man at the front desk of this restaurant is somewhat anti-Chinese!

RRgkobashiLet me start with the good parts:  - The location is convenient, with lots of restaurants, cafes, and rental shops nearby. They also work with Hakuba Lion Adventure, so we got some great discounts for rentals.  - The room was very clean and well-equipped, they also have a dry room for snow gears.  - Breakfast was freshly made every morning, with a nice variety and really delicious food.   However, our experience was tainted by communication issues with the owner. Upon arrival, he realized we had come by car and immediately scolded us for not informing him in advance. He claimed to have messaged us about it, but we later discovered he was talking about *********** while we had booked via Trip.com. Since no parking was reserved for us, we had to use a nearby rental space for 1,000 yen per night. We accepted this, understanding that parking is limited during snow season. Until the third night, our car got stuck in the snow, so we went to ask for help. Instead of assisting us, the owner started blaming us again, saying he had already sent us a message telling us not to drive because of the heavy snow. But we were very confused because we double checked all our booking platform messages and emails there was NO such message at all. So before we checked out, we brought this up again and the owner just said, “Well, that’s not my fault, and I don't recommend booking platforms such as Agoda, Trip.com or *******”. This place is quite a disappointment. The location itself is great, and the breakfasts were amazing, but the owner’s attitude completely ruined the experience. To make things even more frustrating, the owners speak Mandarin (as does one of us) and a bit of English, yet the owner insisted on speaking Japanese, fully aware that we didn’t understand it. It almost seemed like he was pretending to be Japanese. If you’re expecting authentic Japanese hospitality, this is not the place. I genuinely liked the place and even considered staying for a week to work remotely, but the owner’s behavior made that impossible. Who wants to be scolded multiple times during a vacation?

GGuest UserCome to Hakuba Village Iwadake to see the autumn leaves. The air is fresh and there is a sense of open space. The place to stay is very warm and the landlord’s meticulous reception allows us to rest and regain our strength. Next time we will come to experience the good snow scene.

GGuest UserIt looks like a hotel for skiers, but I was a little surprised to see so many people using it even in the summer. The surrounding hotels looked just like I had imagined since it was summer. I could tell from the car license plate numbers that there were many customers from all over the place. Inside, there is also an annex, and it's so spacious that it's hard to grasp the whole thing. The gondola station is nearby and you can walk there. There are discount tickets for gondolas, so if you buy them here, you'll save money.

Yyee meiThe location is 100 points, very close to the ski resort; there is a ski equipment rental shop in the hotel, with discounts and English communication Since I stayed for 7 days, I was a little surprised that the room was not cleaned, the trash was not cleared, and the towels were not changed. Even if it was not cleaned every day, I thought it would be done at least every 3-4 days, so the hygiene was a little disappointing (maybe I didn't notice they were like that.) The hotel staff are polite but basically only understand Japanese If you are going on a ski trip, I would still recommend this hotel, but don't be too demanding on hygiene/service/food.
