Alpes-Maritimes Hotels with Airport Shuttle

This hotel ” Hotel Indigo Cagnes-Sur-Mer ”'s exterior in real life looks like the picture on their website, yet the interior has a left a lot to be desired. The location is a bit off from the main hustle & bustle in central Nice and it takes at least 15-20 by UBER to get to Nice city centre where the real touristy life is happening. The hotel is very basic, the glass door leading to the balcony has finger prints, the bed is too soft, the air con is not cool enough for very hot days in Nice. The lobby staff at our stay were functioning normally but you would not say they were outstanding, nothing too warm or welcoming. More like an upgraded youth hostel rather than what we expected as a 4* hotel. The room has a balcony that overlooks the streets and is in a safe and quiet area. They have a bar and a restaurant but we were never tempted to try them. They also say they have shuttle bus to the nearby beach and also shuttle bus service to the airport, but they never mentioned that it requires 48 hours to book the airport shuttle not until we wanted to ride in it and then found we were told we just not eligible as we only stayed for one night and did not reach the 48 hour prior booking requirement. And glad that we only stayed for one night because everything they could offer was just very basic. One thing that staunchly stood out as poorly designed is the bathroom door. It is a brown glass door that is all see through, so there is absolutely zero privacy when one takes a shower. We asked if they could have another room with a proper door and they told us every bathroom door is of brown glass and therefore is transparent. They sounded very nonchalant as if we were too difficult, but when we asked for a solution, they then told us a lot of other guests had the same problem and the solution is to provide guests with a bedsheet for us to figure out how we could make a ' curtain ' out of it. So we realised that we were not the only ones to have voiced this crucial concern, then why hasn't anyone in the management bothered to do something to rectify this very bad situation? The answer is simple---merely shows how indifferent the whole management body is. They just can't be bothered and they don't care. Hotel Indigo Cagnes-Sur-Mer provided us with a very mediocre room that yields mediocre comfort, it displays mediocre interior, and gives guests robotic service. Bad bathroom design is especially leaving a bad impression because other than the useless transparent brown glass, the bathtub has only erected a 1/2 glass shield that does not prevent water from splashing out, so taking a shower is not relaxing and afterwards you need to wipe the wet floor for the next user. The water pressure of the shower is weak, shower head only has two jet settings. The water drainage is very bad cos the water fails to drain off smoothly and it is gross to be standing in a pool of dirty soapy water as you shower. In this day & age it is surprising that this hotel can still get a 4* rating. All these very average if not substandard issues really do not do Nice, an exciting and pretty city, justice. So this hotel does not live up to their claim as 4* and we will seek elsewhere when we visit enticing Nice again.

Everything was ok except our air conditioning didnt work after technician came to fix it started making ticking sound… ruined our night sleep they gave us an extra room to sleep in so we dont have to move our things in the middle of the night…. After we came back to our old room in the morning the ac was off again not functioning… also the bathroom was extremely small you have to walk on your side to get in

Regarding the service, the hotel is really good, the staff is pleasant/available and very professional both at reception and in terms of service in the restaurant and the maids As for the hotel, it deserves to be a little better maintained, for example in room 607 the carpet is torn in a corner and the balustrade is faded and needs painting, it's not the most beautiful effect, moreover at the swimming pool an orange robot awaits you on the terrace with brooms to clean it, it's not the place for this type of tool. The vegetation also deserves a little refresh with dead plants and a tree, too bad for the effect that this produces Recent parasols or the whales are still protected by plastic packaging

Important Safety Warning: DO NOT LOCK THE TOILET DOOR Pros: • Great Location: Well-situated for exploring the area. • Free Shuttle Service: A convenient perk for airport transfers. • Spacious Rooms: Comfortable and roomy for a relaxing stay. • Wide Breakfast Selection: Plenty of options to suit different tastes. • Excellent Service: The staff was attentive and went out of their way to assist us. Cons: • Aging Facilities: The hotel is showing signs of wear and tear. • Poor Window Insulation: Cold air seeped in at night, but the staff promptly provided a portable Honeywell heater, which helped. Important Safety Warning: DO NOT LOCK THE TOILET DOOR A serious safety issue occurred when my friend got locked inside the toilet (which is in a separate room from the bathroom). The door wouldn’t open, and we had to call the reception for help. Fortunately, I was in the room with her! Shockingly, the staff mentioned that this had happened before, with a previous guest screaming for help until a neighbor intervened. After firmly addressing the issue, the hotel assured us that they had ordered a new lock system for the entire property. As an apology, they also offered us a fruit plate and a souvenir, which we appreciated. However, I believe it’s important to highlight this issue for future guests. Final Verdict: While the service was excellent, and the hotel handled our concerns well, the safety issue with the toilet lock is something potential guests should be aware of. If insulation and safety are a priority, you might want to wait until the renovations are complete. Otherwise, the service and hospitality were top-notch, making it a decent choice for a stay in Nice.

Hotel is perfectly located and has own beach across the road (using sunbeds is extra charge). Vale parking and very helpful staff. Restaurant food can be better…

Bar not really cozy, also I think there was no manager for the catering part and if there was one.........well Ordered food on the terrace, no cutlery, no napkins with the food, Spumante not fresh..... Table next to us ordered 2 hamburgers, got 1, 2 the 10 minutes later..... We asked at the counter if we could eat at the pool above, NO, due to the bad weather no food on the 6th, around 4 pm we come swimming 6th floor, all tables are set, then we think we will quickly make a reservation, but no already fully booked. ????? All this was very well handled by a girl called Emanuela, who did her job well, for example with glass and with the bottle at the table pouring (worth 5 stars), Attention for our child (9 years) etc and 2 aperitifs on the house. But the damage was done....

Excellent historical hotel, friendly and attentive staff, clean and comfortable rooms. I was delighted with the varied breakfast in the lounge area, it is nice to start the day with a delicious breakfast and a view of the port of Cannes. I will definitely come back here for a longer period of time.

Very nice hotel with an ideal location to visit Juan les Pins and the Antibes hill walking. Our room was very comfortable (with terrace)very clean just a little reproach to the refrigerator in the room made noise .... all staff were very sympathetic.

The location of this place is opposite the train station. The hotel feels very comfortable overall. The details are well done. The corners are artistic. I like this type of hotel very much!
