As the name suggests, you will stay at a sheep farm. In the evenings and mornings, you can walk around the farm and interact with sheep. When you go out to the ranch, you can borrow boots for free. Both dinner and breakfast were plentiful and delicious.

Our family has been visiting Yorkshire Farm every time we travel to Hokkaido, and it has become a cherished tradition since our children were two years old. This farm stay is an absolute gem, offering a tranquil and peaceful retreat that guarantees excellent rest and rejuvenation. The serene ambiance of the farm is simply unparalleled. The rolling fields, gentle sounds of nature, and the rustic charm of the farm create an idyllic setting that feels like a world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Every visit is a breath of fresh air, literally and metaphorically, as we unwind and reconnect with nature. One of the highlights of our stay is the delightful sheep-feeding experience. Watching the sheep herding by the skillful sheepdog is a mesmerizing sight, and feeding the sheep has become a favorite family activity. Our kids, now older, still look forward to this experience with the same excitement as they did years ago. It’s both educational and entertaining, providing a wonderful opportunity to engage with farm life. The lady boss of Yorkshire Farm is the epitome of hospitality. Her warm and accommodating nature makes each stay even more enjoyable. She goes above and beyond to ensure that her guests feel welcome and comfortable, adding a personal touch that makes us feel like part of the farm's extended family. If you’re seeking a peaceful escape in Hokkaido, we strongly recommend a visit or stay at Yorkshire Farm. It’s a place where you can truly relax, enjoy nature, and create lasting memories with loved ones. Yorkshire Farm is not just a destination; it’s an experience that we look forward to every single time.

A sheep farm and an inn are combined, so it feels more like staying at a farm than a hotel. The view of the contrast between the green of the grass and the forest and the white of the sheep is wonderful, and it is quiet and time passes slowly. The hotel has a simple stone construction, and the stylish interior gives off a sense of quality. The main meal was lamb steak, and the meat was tender and delicious. The wine and the background music playing in the dining room make you feel like you're in England. The sheep-feeding experience, which is an option only available to guests, was also wonderful. We went into the pasture and fed the lambs with milk and the mother sheep with vegetables. My family was very happy to see a sheep dog chasing sheep in front of us. I also like the concept of participating in taking care of the sheep all the time, rather than as a show. At the end, we were guided by the staff and took a walk through the stream surrounding the farm. I was able to relax a lot as I was led by a cute sheep dog. It's surreal to eat sheep while watching them, and it teaches children how to be grateful for life. I can only thank the staff for providing elaborate service even though they were busy due to the coronavirus. Anyway, it was a great relief. I think it would be good if it became more famous, but it is a place that I would like to keep secret as a hidden gem.

A farm-in style inn at a sheep farm.Although it can be used for meals and cafes, we especially recommend the "shepherd experience" which is only available to guests! The following is an example of when we stayed in December ~ We checked in and met the sheep for the first time in the sheep pen.For dinner, we enjoyed 12-24 month old mutton called "hogget" with a fire in the fireplace! Enjoy a quiet night in the triple room with floor heating and a heater. Breakfast is served in an atmosphere that makes you feel like you're in a B&B in the Yorkshire region ♪ And then there's the "Shepherd Experience" - a blissful time getting to know and play with sheep. This time's menu includes a sheep-herding and feeding experience with the sheepdog Knotty! My 3-year-old was chasing the sheep and chasing them back lol. Depending on the season, the job of the shepherd changes, so I have to go again. I especially recommend it to people who love animals, as well as families with young children. Also, if you want to be a shepherd, I think it's a good place to be a helper too!
