初めて宿泊させていただきました。荒湯で有名な温泉地 まず当日までに確認の連絡もいただき、また当日は迷っていないかと電話がありました。宿の玄関前にスタッフが出迎えしてくれました。そこからは本当にたくさんのおもてなしをしていただきました。快眠セラピーは３０分、やめないでって言いたいくらい気持ちよかったです。食事ももちろんおいしくて、特にお米がおいしくて、残りはおにぎりにしてくれました。帰りには鯛めしのおにぎりまで持たせてくれました。総支配人さんからは宿のことやいろいろお話を聞けましたし、スタッフの皆さんが、楽しそうにしておられたのが印象的でした。特に厨房の調理の方たちも、皆さん笑顔でした。またカニのシーズンには訪れたいと思います。

この時期、この地域での宿泊施設のプランは「カニ料理」が売り物で、カニが苦手な旅行者の選択の範囲はとても狭い。このお宿は珍しく「カニ料理」を売り物にせず、加えて、部屋の様式としてベッドルームが得られるのでお世話になることにしました。しかしながら期待に反してほかの宿泊者のコメントにほど遠い結果にがっかりしました。浜坂駅からのピックアップ、ロビーでのチェックイン時間までの待ち時間、夕食時のスタッフの世話焼き加減、総支配人の話しかけ、チェックアウト時にもの総支配人の話しかけ、おにぎりのサービスなどなど、あまりもの濃厚な応対が再度の訪問を拒否的にしました。宿泊施設のさりげない心遣いを好ましく感じる私には、閉口だったと申し上げたいと思いました。部屋は必須のツインルームでしたが、オフイスのような造作で、温かみのない感じがしました。
