I rarely complain about others when I write reviews for B&Bs, because I think the service industry is not easy, and I try to say good things if I can, but this time I have to complain about this one! We have been to Yudanaka 4 times and stayed in 8 different B&Bs. The first 3 times, the store provided pick-up/drop-off/snow monkey park services, so this time we did not confirm in advance. Unexpectedly, some stores do not provide this service (very few), and Tenkawaso is one of them! After arriving at Yudanaka Station, I called the boss and spent half a day (the boss's English was not good, and communication was more difficult). He drove to pick us up, and everything went smoothly. On the morning of the day we left, it was snowing heavily. We asked the boss to take us to the station, but he flatly refused, saying that they did not provide drop-off service (paying the taxi fare was not an option), and they did not help us call a taxi (it was difficult to get through on the phone, and they spoke Japanese). Later, we met a family of four Australian guests. They asked to be dropped off at the station one day in advance, but they were also refused (they said that the boss actually came to the station to pick us up, which was incredible). Later, they asked a Japanese friend to book a taxi, and they also thought the boss was mean! Finally, we could only carry our suitcases (the ground was covered with snow and we couldn't pull them), walked for 8 minutes to the bus station, waited for 25 minutes in the heavy snow (the bus was 20 minutes late), and rushed into the train at the last minute before the train started. The whole process was exciting and sad! I hope everyone can avoid this, or at least ask about the pick-up/drop-off service in advance. Most homestays don't have this problem, but it will be very troublesome if you encounter it!
The Raki Onsenryokan provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Raki Onsenryokan is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Yamanouchi. From the hotel, Yudanaka Station is just 200m away. With multiple attractions nearby including Yamabiko Hiroba, 小出屋ラベンダー園 and Yudanaka Oyu, guests will find plenty to keep themselves occupied. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. Guests of this Yamanouchi hotel can make use of the parking facilities. Our guests rate this hotel as one of the best hotels for cleanliness.

Located just within 3min from Yudanaka station, Raki Onsenryokan is run by a Chinese family. As a quiet town on its own, no one was tending to the reception when I arrived, after ringing the bell, a lady came down to help with the check in - very straightforward. I believe the family stays in the same building as they said if we ever needed anything, we could just ring the bell at the reception. Obviously I had booked a room too big for a solo traveller as this was the only room left as ”non-smoking”. Toilet and sink are at two different parts of the room which was a little inconvenient. Ryokan offers free drive (15min) TO snow monkey park, but not return, so please cater at least 35min to walk from park exit to the bus stop. Ryokan also provided a hearty breakfast, overall for the price paid it was a decent stay!

Very cozy bed and breakfast, good environment, clean and spacious room, the improved dinner and breakfast are very good and special, dinner is a large set, it is really a good stay. The hotel also thoughtfully put the guest's name at the door of the room. It is also close to the bus station for convenient check-in with luggage. Will choose next time I go to Nozawaonsen.

⭐Geographical location:
Yudanaka Hot Spring is relatively close to Jigokudani Monuen, a 20-minute walk from the station. It should be noted that you can pick up the station before 5 pm. We arrived at 5:30, but the boss said we could not pick up. Although the distance is not long, it still takes a while to walk on the mountain road. You can also take a bus, which runs every half an hour.
⭐Service:
There are two shopkeepers serving you, and their attitude is very good. They will help you deliver your luggage to the coffee shop next to the station when you travel the next day. It should be noted that if you check in after 3 pm, you will not be able to make calls in the morning. I left something in the room. No one answered the phone after three calls. In the end, I had to go to the store to get it again.
⭐Facilities:
The room layout is relatively simple and the facilities are relatively simple. To be honest, the heating is relatively small and it is a bit cold at night. There is no shower room and toilet, and the sink only has cold water. Shower rooms and hot springs need to be charged separately, 500 yen. Public toilets (all small Japanese-style hotels are like this) are very clean, because there are few rooms and few guests, and you have never touched anyone else in the toilet. Anyway, the price/performance ratio is pretty good.
⭐Meals:
Our order included dinner and breakfast, but the portions were small and not enough to fill us up. When we got out of the station, we had to remember to buy some food from Lawson. There are no convenience stores in the hot spring street! Mineral water is not provided, and there is an additional charge of +100yen.
⭐Hot spring:
You can soak in 9 soups on the street, but there is only one key, so you have to go there separately. The private soup shop in the store is in B1. It is relatively simple, has a lot of moisture, and is not very clean. It is recommended to go to the public soup house. Although the boss said that there is no place to take a bath in the public bath, so you can only buy a private bath + shower, which is a bit embarrassing.

#Popularity# Measures to prevent and control mosquitoes, cost-effectiveness, safety, location, lighting in the room, satisfactory room layout; the hotel is very convenient and clean. It was a very kind and enjoyable trip to the landlady. I highly recommend it.

We came to Shiga Plateau for skiing, we have been to Yudanaka four times, and we have lived in 8 different homestays. Daimaru House is the best one:
A The boss's English is good, there is no problem with communication (the boss is not good);
B There is a bathroom in the room, which is very convenient (most of the bathrooms in the homestay are shared and inconvenient)
C In the hot spring town, eating is very convenient;
D Going out is the station, it is convenient to go skiing on the mountain;
E Indoor and outdoor hot springs are large and powerful;
F The boss is very nice and provides pick-up/send-off/go to snow monkey park service (this is very important in Tangtianzhong, some homestays do not provide it)
In a word, come to Shiga Plateau skiing, choose Daimaru House is right!

The host speaks good English and the communication is smooth. The room is big and heated, clean and hygienic. The private onsen is clean and opposite is Hatsu-no-Yu. It is a good experience to go out to the public onsen at night. It is snowing and you will not feel cold in yukata.
The host sent us to the station in the morning. Thank you very much. We spent a short but warm night in Yudanaka. I will recommend other friends to come here!
The host was great and easy to communicate with, speaking excellent English. The room was big, clean, and warm. The private onsen was nice and clean, and Hatsu-no-Yu was just across the street.
We loved soaking in the public onsen at night while it was snowing.feel super warm only wearing the yukata.
In the early morning, the host kindly drove us to the station. It was a short but lovely stay in Yudanaka. Highly recommend it to friends!

Stayed at this homestay for a few days during the Spring Festival and it feels really great. The proprietress is very very friendly. The rice is also delicious. The hot spring in the hotel is also great and very convenient. The location here is about an hour’s drive from the ski resort, and there is a shuttle bus every day, which is quite convenient.
The room is clean, warm and comfortable. Although it is a public restroom, I did not feel any inconvenience. My favorite is to go back to the hot springs for bathing after skiing every day.

GGuest UserThe owner, amiable, breakfast is delicious
BBuxiangbeifenghaoThe price-performance ratio is good. The hotel has both open-air and indoor bathing pools. Men and women need to be separated, and they can be naked or not. The hotel includes a classic Japanese buffet breakfast. The rooms are tatami mats, so it won't be very cold. The overall facilities of the hotel are a bit old, after all. The age of hot spring hotels is here! It’s just like experiencing a Japanese-style hotel, it’s pretty good! Does the hotel provide free pick-up and drop-off? It is a hot spring park, but the check-out time is relatively early, and every employee is very enthusiastic. 2 nights is the most suitable!
LLONGFUIt’s the photos taken by mobile phones inside and outside the store. The small hotel run by the old couple is not far from the Yudanaka tram terminal. In the town of hot springs, it’s good to have a 24-hour hot spring bathhouse. The owner is very good. Gentle was able to personally drive us to the foot of the mountain in the Wild Monkey Park to see the monkeys washing in the hot springs. It is a lot more convenient for us. Shared toilets are the place I am least used to, but overall I am satisfied.
SSvetlana ZiminaWe really liked the hotel, it was very exotic for us, we swam in the onsen - it was magical, we slept on a futon for the first time in our lives - many thanks to the owners for their hospitality. Hello from St.Petersburg
宮宮田雪嵐The hostess of this store is very young and beautiful, with a smile! The temperament is very good 👌👍! I visited this ”Hot Spring Street” and it was indeed the price of this ”Ape” Youth Hostel! Attach the photo taken. One person is less than NT$1,000 a night! This hot spring hotel is really cheap! The hostess of this shop is very young and beautiful with a smile on her face!The temperament is very good👌👍!I visited this ”hot spring street” and indeed the price of this ”ape” youth hostel is the most affordable! Attached are the photos taken. It's less than 1,000 Taiwan dollars per person per night! This kind of hot spring hotel is really cheap!
