Hotels near Shorinji, Shimonoseki

Arrived late at night and only １ nights. A little far from Shimonoseki Station, but the Karatsu market of the tourist spot is close and Akama Jingu shrine is in front of you. The dormitory room signed was just the view of Akama Jingu shrine. I couldn't use it when I checked out, but I seemed to have access to the rooftop. I did a waste of expecting a considerable view. The shared space is large and there is a cafe. Good environment for address hopper work. I'm almost a joint bath with Domi. It was my first visit to Shimonoseki, but I liked the city very much. However, it is subtle whether it becomes here because I want to take an inn around Shimonoseki station next time.

This is pribably the best hotel in mojiko, beautiful rooms and good location. Guests for the better rooms have access to the lounge providing drinks and snacks throughout afternoon and evening. However the premier deluxe room that we booked has a split level between the toilet and the bed areas. This is unsuitable and unsafe for people with handicap and elderly couple like us. We had no choice but to ask for downgrading to a normal room. A great disappointment. However, we have to thank their staff for making an effort to relay our hearing aid which we left in the hotel in Hakata. They made sure that we received the ear piece in Kobe. We are very grateful.

　The hotel in Shimonoseki chose this place to try fish and seafood in the Karato market. Since the front of the hotel is a shipping station to Moji and Iwata Island, I was able to return to the hotel in ５ minutes after sightseeing Moji retro. Convenience store is next to the family. The sea sound hall and Kamon Wharf are also in front of you. Akama Jingu shrine and Yoshitsune statue are within walking distance. The station is far, but there are often city buses. Parking fee was free. The staff feels good. The building is old, the room is slender and small, but if you go from the price, you can't complain. The bed in the twin room is semi double ２ and relaxing. The bath and toilet are separated, and the bath is Japanese style that can wash the body outside the bathtub. There is a bath salt. There is no hook to hang a bath towel.

I am glad to be able to temporarily leave my luggage before check-in or after out. However, when I went to take the luggage that I had temporarily kept after checking out in the evening, the customer was full at the front desk and waited for a while. I was frustrated because the time to leave the Shinkansen was approaching. It takes too long for one person. I want you to grasp the situation at the front desk at the office and respond to the empty employees. If this was not a full score, it was a pity. The language is polite.

I used it for the first time on a business trip this time. It was a better impression than the national development hotel series in the vicinity. It is the way to cross the station front road at the position seen from the station, cross the underground road (the shortest) or the crossing sidewalk on the left side of the station on the back (less 々 far). When you enter the underground road, it is the impression that you get lost in the exit stairs. There is no convenience store nearby. I wanted to make a regular inn from the next time near the station.

Very close hotel from Shimonoseki Station. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk. The price of the original 々 is also cheap, but we were able to stay at a low price in the Go To Travel campaign. We stayed 1-night in a 3-bedder while exploring North-East Kyushu area. Very friendly front desk staff and they were efficient and fast checking us in to to our room. To our surprise, we were provided with complimentary breakfast and also free-flow welcome drinks. Excellent end to the day after driving hours in the heavy downpour. Room was of good size for 3 adults and even space to lay out our luggage. WiFi was good and we had free car park throughout the stay. Beds were comfy with choice of pillows. Separate wash area outside the bathroom which was useful with 3 people in the room. Breakfast saw a good spread of local fare and it was sumptuous and must say the best hotel breakfast spread throughout our 2-weeks Kyushu road trip.
