石巖鄉舍的位置很好，出門上坡走1分鐘便可以到景區電瓶車總站、索道下站。房間大，整潔，設施齊全，一次性牙具、拖鞋俱全，有大瓶的洗髮液、沐浴露，唯一美中不足的是沒有電吹風。衣架多，有晾衣、掛衣的櫃子。門口停車場很大，適合自駕。雖然景區號稱不允許自駕車入內，要在蘇家台遊客中心停車，換乘電瓶車。但衹要説明在裏面住宿，或者跟老闆打好招呼，由老闆事先聯絡大門工作人員，可以駕車進來。鄉舍自帶吃魚的餐廳，可以容納多人。免費早餐有包子、花捲、玉米、紅薯，還有一些菜餚與稀飯，吃得飽，利於登山。老闆與工作人員的態度很和善。在門口就可以看到嶂石巖的三層大山壁。夏至日，一早一晚非常涼快，適合避暑。
