The staff were all excellent.

It is our golden anniversary so we thought we would go for afternoon tea when booking we was told they would make it extra special for us but unfortunately they didn’t as we had been before and it wasn’t nothing special. My husband is gluten free and to be honest it looked like the cakes was all brought from a supermarket and the scones When we was put in a room we were the only ones in there and think they must have forgotten we was there as it took ages for anyone to ask if we wanted a top up of tea and in the end we had to go and ask for a box to take home cake we couldn’t eat

Picked hotel for 1 night stay as close to Sheringham Golf Club. Received a call whilst on journey and booked a table for dinner. Check in smooth and had a first floor room with a distant sea view. Contrary to some of the negative reviews , the room is in keeping with hotel yet the bathroom was lovely clean and modern. Comfy bed. Maybe request a first floor room ? Dinner was excellent and as a Sunday, they had the roasts on which I must say was very tasty and plentiful. Breakfast the next morning was refreshing in terms of table service and not buffet although some buffet elements if you wanted juices, cereals,fruits, pastries etc. Service very good and didn't have to wait. Didn't explore outside as only there the one night but could imagine, a nice base to explore the Norfolk coastal areas.

Beautiful location, easy access. Staff were efficient and helpful and the outside area was lovely, we were lucky we had nice weather and could make the most of it. Rooms were so much in style of the property also the lift. We didn’t eat dinner has we were with friends but the breakfast was just great. Keep on doing what you are doing and good luck

Just recently returned from a one night stay at the Dales Country House Hotel at it was wonderful. On arrival the staff were so welcoming and friendly. Our room was lovely so spacious spotlessly clean and even had a distant sea view. We had an evening meal and breakfast the following morning in the hotel restaurant and both were really tasty. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this hotel and look forward to staying here again

We have enjoyed the hotel many times before but on this occasion the service was terrible. Waited ages to check in then appalling dinner service. Had to even ask for a menu and eventually ask to be seated despite a booking. Wrong meals dished out including an insulting concoction that included an enormous maggot. Charged full price despite one of us having no dinner under the circumstances. Toilet loudly gurgling repeatedly. Gunge in the bath. Minimal comeback to acknowledge and compensate.

Had a great stay here for a treat. Room was excellent, staff very helpful, the surroundings were very attractive and we could spent time outside with refreshments in the warm weather. Plenty of opportunity to walk into the country park adjacent to the hotel grounds. Food at the restaurant was well presented and appetising. Close to coastal attractions and NT properties, etc.

We spent four days at this lovely hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and always had a smile on their face - they are a credit to the hotel. The food was superb with excellent choices each day. Breakfast was particularly nice as it was cooked to your order and always hot - not the usual sitting on hot plates and having to serve yourself finding these dishes lukewarm or even cold. Our room (11) was vey spacious with a lovely bathroom. We will certainly return and will recommend this to friends.
