The staff were all excellent.
The meals at the hotel were excellent too.

Great venue for a meeting with friendly staff and great value food. Only when I returned home, I realised that there was a massive service charge on the bill, despite us leaving a cash tip. I don’t agree with automatic service charges on bills !

We had a meal at the Dales last night and what a lovely meal it was. Everything about this restaurant is perfect. The meal was first class, cooked and presented to a high standard. It was all delicious and such a lovely dining room . The service was excellent and Callum made sure that we had a great evening. Thank you Callum and all the staff. We would not hesitate to recommend and return when we are next in Sheringham.

We popped in for some lunch whilst on a walk round Sherringham Park and were blown away by the food and service. My partner had a club ciabatta, which was packed full of chicken and bacon with a fresh salad and chips, and I had the afternoon tea, which came with two delicious scones. We can highly recommend.

1940’s weekend so the room was expensive £230 per night. The sheets were stained .when changed only a single sheet was provided for a double bed! The room was depressing with brown furniture and brown cushions. The Tv shut down at 11am checkout time in the morning. Breakfast even at this price not included a first for me anywhere in the world. The restaurant was the redeeming feature thankfully although the lighting was so low first of all that everyone cheered when the lights finally brightened. Never again.

Just returned from a lovely lunch at our go to place The Dales. This place is so relaxing and enjoyable staff very friendly food excellent, I had as usual the Seafood platter where I take my own homemade cocktail sauce as not keen on the ones made with mayonnaise. What did the chefs think as guessing they had a helping of it !! Regards Dawn

Don't bother! Just paid £250 per night for 2 nights in Room 7! There is no " wow" factor for the money - the carpet has marks on it. The upholstery on the dressing table stool is unsafe. Dirty valances on the two beds which had been pushed together The furnishing are old and in places scratched and worn. The lock on the bathroom door was missing. No blind on the bathroom window. 2 vinyl tub chairs to sit in. In our case when we decided to have a complimentary biscuit. The packet was already open and a biscuit gone! The sea view was between two walls which we presumed was the fire escape and looked like it could do with a good clean! There are no USB points- and complimentary water just stands in the room slowly getting warm and undrinkable! The food served was to a good standard and obviously not included in £250 per night. This was a supposed treat for my husband and I after a year of health issues . To be honest the Premier Room in the Premier Inn at Gt yarmouth was to a much higher standard of " luxury" for half the price

What can I say? My wife and I decided to visit Norfolk for our summer break and I booked three nights at the Dales Country House Hotel. The hotel is amazing. It is full of character and our room was amazing, with a little lounge just off the main bedroom, two TVs and an amazing shower. The staff are wonderful- helpful, unstintingly friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They are attentive without being ‘in your face’. The food was amazing. We dined here for two nights, from a full three course meal on Monday to a lighter meal in the bar on Tuesday- which was still very substantial. Drinks and food are not overly expensive. The setting is amazing, on the edge of Sheringham Park and it proved to be an excellent base for us for three nights. Thank you, Dales, it has been immense!

Had a truly wonderful afternoon tea here. All the food was delicious and there was so much we couldn’t eat it all. The grounds and rooms are absolutely spectacular and the staff are really friendly and go above and beyond’s beyond. It is also very good value for what you get. Well worth a visit.
