Hampton Inn & Suites Sharon

We did not have a very good experience at this hotel. We were there for a nearby wedding. We arrived at 1:15 PM, knowing that check-in was at 3, but the nuptials started at 3:30. I asked the man at the desk if we could just put our suitcase in a backroom, and he said no. Okay, can we just check in now, so we don't have to do it at 10:00. Again, we were told no. He was very rude and not welcoming at all. After the wedding, there was a different person behind the desk. She was also rude and seemed bothered by me, warning me not to be noisy in the halls. I guess because I asked where the meeting room was, as we had supplies from the wedding to drop off. I checked in and went upstairs, while my husband was dropping things off in the meeting room. He asked the front desk lady if I had checked in and she refused to tell him, citing privacy laws. Upon entering the room, there was a terrible smell, like stinky feet. We couldn't figure out what it was, until later. It was the 2 pillows on our bed. They were stinky and gross! The next morning, when we could actually see our bedspread and sheets, we discovered that our comforter had yellow stains and was dirty. The only bright spot was the complimentary breakfast. The food was fresh and hot and the 2 ladies working at breakfast were wonderful! Maybe you should put them behind the desk, they are much more pleasant!

We had a very pleasant stay! The room was clean, comfortable beds and friendly staff. We really enjoyed the breakfast. More of a selection than at most other motels including some delicious cut up fruit. The next time we are traveling on Rt. 80 in PA. this Hampton Inn will be on list for another stay.

Very Dis satisfied I arrived and was told that I they did not have my reservation and that they had no rooms to offer myself or the other two people traveling with me.

Wish they had walk in showers in the accessible rooms. But all the grabs bars were acceptable and very helpful and didn’t get in my way of taking a shower.

Unfortunately I encountered bed bugs during my stay. I cut my stay short by two days when I discovered the bed bugs. The front desk was not overly concerned when the issue was reported. I tired to contact the hotel management and Hilton directly with no success. The room needs remediation. I would not recommend the hotel upon the poor response.

Upon checking in they asked me to pay for the room even though I biked on ******* and paid. Then when we got to our room, the heat wasn’t working & the toilet bowl was dirty. Called front desk & we were able to switch rooms. In the new room the furniture was very old and ripped, items that should go to the garage and not be in hotel rooms. I had to contact ******* two times to get the double charge sorted. The hotel charged me and lied to ******* saying they didn’t charge me. The refund came in three days after my stay and bc ******* called them 2 times to find out why they charged me. Only then they processed a refund. We’ve stayed at other Hampton Inn that were more professional, cleaner, and updated. Won’t be stopping at this location again.
